Best credit card I’ve used
I like Tymit very much because they are keen to change the way credit is traditionally given to customers. No interest on payments until after 3 months if you choose - they have options to pay in full or upto 3 months for the months purchase and it will cost you no interest! or pay over a longer term with different interest levels applicable. Really like their app where you can use their calculator that shows interest and timeline for any future planned purchases you may want to make. They feel like a much more human and customer orientated provider to me, responsive and helpful team who answer any questions you have via the app.
Thx Tymit!!

Its ok
Love the card and the concept but the app is a little clunky, keeps showing a badge for a notification and when i go into open conversations it shows all my previous conversations with customer service as unread, i click on them all and then close the app they all go into unread again. You cant updater personal details like you can i most banking/financial apps. Updating pin is a little bit of a pointless process you update it via app having to go to a cashpoint check balance for it to synchronise. APR JUMPED 7% less than 30 days of me having it. Concerned that they do not post anything on any of there socials since last year so not fully trusting its a viable company so still kept my old credit card provider. Its been way more than 5 days since i contacted then with pin issues which i resolved myself. Overall its good and has lots of potential hoping they become a little more mainstream and more socially active to invoke some trust but its a smart app and idea. They have now removed the 3 month interest fee feature. I have now closed the account after less than 3 months and the website now also has not been updated and bow shows as not accepting new applications so does not look like they were doing well which was a shame.
Developer Response ,
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
We’re are sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with notifications within the app. We hope to get this looked into and fixed for you as soon as possible.
We are always looking to improve our app and changing details in app is something we are developing.
We have been rather busy as of late but we are working hard to respond to any queries and we thank you for your patience in the meantime. We’re delighted to hear that you have been able to resolve your PIN issue, though we are very sorry that we were not able to respond to your query beforehand.
Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and we really appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts.
Many thanks, Team Tymit.
What’s happening?
Rarely use Tymit any more. What made it stand out as being different from other credit cards now no longer exist. I’m back to using a Barclaycard which does pretty much the same as Tymit now but with a lower APR and a small amount of cashback. If Tymit can no longer differentiate itself from the mainstream I can’t see it lasting much longer.
Update- for some reason I am now having a number of problems with the app. No response from Tymit customer service either in app or on their community site. Interest rates keep going up - more than doubled over the last year. Everything is pointing towards Tymit not being with us for much longer. I have consequently stopped using and taken out an alternative credit card. Such a shame as I have been with Tymit for a few years and liked what they were trying to do. ———————————— Have been with Tymit for some time now and in the early days there were a few glitches. However, recently some updates have helped and now things seem to be working as they should. I like the slightly different take that Tymit have on credit cards, and for that reason I will continue to use Tymit as my ‘everything’ card.
