Description

A resource offering opportunities to consider and implement care values, infection control, safeguarding, care plans, health and safety and practical caring skills.

This application supports the development of basic caring skills required for working in the health and social care sector. The resource is designed to support the health and social care curriculum offering opportunities to consider and implement care values, infection control, safeguarding, care plans, health and safety and practical caring skills.

The app user will progress through a series of scenarios focused around service users in a nursing care setting. The scenarios offer the app user the opportunity to explore decision making processes enabling appropriate caring skills to be demonstrated. The user is assessed on their ability to make the correct decisions as they progress through each scenario using a point score system. At the end of each scenario, the user will achieve a score which can be used to reflect on their performance.

The app user can complete the scenarios multiple times to improve their scores. This will help to reinforce the caring skills they are implementing throughout each task completed.
