Rude driver and faulty app
Tonight I had terrible service from Value cabs. Due to the app not working correctly I had to pay for a journey that was pre booked and my friend had wanted to sort (I paid for the previous journey into town by a competitor that was trouble free). As the app was faulty the driver wanted me to pay and he spoke to me as if I was purposely avoiding payment. This was 100% value cabs mistake not mine. I paid the bill but I have serious concerns on how the drivers of value cabs speak to customers and how a faulty app could leave those without money vulnerable. In 30 years of getting taxis home in Belfast this is the worst service I have ever received.
Driver is a credit to the company
After drivers cancelling three times, this gentleman called me in advance to notify me that he was arriving soon. I said to him I needed to get home quickly due to an emergency, he drove safely, calmly and was very respectful of how I was in that moment. We also had good conversation that helped calm me. This driver (I did not get his name unfortunately) is a credit to the company that I have little respect for. A true redeeming moment for Value.

I would like to say That I use value cabs a lot and have never had any issues. Tonight I was out with my sister and my mum on her 84 birthday. I had booked online and the taxi driver had sent a message at 1913 to say he was outside. We went out and couldn’t find him and he was in traffic and pulling up at the far side of the road. This was outside Darcys in Belfast so we had to walk to the lights and cross the road. We were I in the taxi at 1918. The taxi driver argued with us that first of all we were in the wrong taxi even though it was the same registration. Secondly he said he’d been waiting 15 minutes when we clearly saw him driving and parking in front of us. He had a very bad attitude and not a good representation of the company. It did not leave a very good taste after a lovely night out.
