Violet v1 users DON'T upgrade

This version (v2) has a radically different emphasis when compared to the previous version. If you are a Violet 1 user then I would caution against upgrading.

The home dashboard gives much less information visible at a glance (no connectivity/bandwidth chart showing performance over time) no summary stats on bandwidth -you can only run one-off bandwidth / connectivity tests in the tools section.

Much more emphasis on end user control rather than overall network visibility. The setup process requires you to create 'user profiles' and assign devices to them.

If you're principally interested in managing end user personal devices, go for it - although there is one other big gotcha warning if you want to use the end user device blocking feature; Blocking is only available if you have a Domotz or Domotz Pro monitoring box on premise. If you rely on one of the NAS based agents for Synology or QNAP, this feature isn't available either.

If you're expecting an improved Violet 1 with new features, then be extremely cautious. Too many useful features are now missing.

Dealers should be aware that enabling Violet for a customer now costs money (uses additional 0.5 credits/month) over and above the credits used for enabling the reporting agent.

Generally a backwards step for the Domotz community.
