I use Vivaldi on three computers and an iPad

I use Vivaldi on three Win 10 &11 computers and an iPad and find it ease and intuitive to use.

The tiles on the front page don;t show any image or even colour on the iOS version, but the text is readable.

I like the fact that the information is synched across all machines, it really helps.

Sadly the calendar doesn’t sync with the iPad, but then niether does MS outlook which a real pain to use (work software)
Compared to Outlook on the iPad, Vivaldi is so much better and works, unlike the outlook app.
I use Gmail via Vivaldi, had it since launched and agin, simpler to use via Vivaldi, contacts simple, again the Outlook app fails miserably on that.

Quit Chrome years ago as I don’t like trackers and the heavy PC resource use and use Duck Duck Go as my default search engine.

There are a few websites that Vivaldi can’t open, especially if they use pop up confirmation boxes. Sadly I have to use Edge for those, but that is the only thing that annoying heavily populated intro browser is good for.

There is nothing in it to entice users of Safari, or Brave, which offer more. Only for Vivaldi users on Windows (password and bookmark synchronisation). It offers no personalisation options (as the desktop version is famous for) – although it is nice that you can change the look of the icon – although this is also nothing to encounter on iOS. In the settings, you can't change much either. There isn’t even a reader mode. In addition, the tabs are placed at the top, which I find not very convenient. The only advantage is that you can put your own source of ad-blocking filters, but other iOS browsers also offer this, and we can also use add-ons in Safari itself. This is the first edition and maybe something will change in the future. For now, it’s severely average and didn’t encourage me to use it. It lacks some distinctive asset that makes it stand out.

Great Browser, but needs some improvements

Dear Vivaldi Team,

First of all, thank you for bringing the Vivaldi browser to iPad. I appreciate your commitment to privacy, customization, and user choice.

However, I’ve noticed several limitations in the iPad version that affect usability, especially compared to the desktop app and even Safari on iPadOS. I’d like to suggest a few feature requests that would significantly improve the user experience:

🌟 Feature Requests:
1. Option to Hide Tab Bar and/or Address Bar
• For a cleaner interface, especially on smaller iPads or in portrait mode.
2. Merged Address Bar and Tabs in a Single Row
• Similar to Safari’s compact layout, this would save space and improve usability.
3. Customizable Start Page / Speed Dial Layout
• Ability to add more favorites (tiles), rearrange them, or organize them into folders freely.
4. Disable Pull-to-Refresh Gesture
• This gesture often interferes with normal browsing. An option to toggle it off would be helpful.
5. Compact UI or Minimal Mode
• A switch to reduce the size or visibility of toolbars for a more immersive browsing experience.

These improvements would help bridge the gap between the excellent Vivaldi desktop experience
