Ride more for less with a monthly subscription, get a day pass or simply pay as you go. Prices vary depending on the city – check the Voi app for the exact prices that apply in your area.

AROUND THE CORNER, ACROSS THE CONTINENT
Soar along the streets of Europe! Voi lets you explore 100+ towns and cities around the continent, by two wheels. Check to see if there’s an e-scooter or e-bike available where you are – go to cities.voi.com/city.

ROAD SAFETY STARTS WITH YOU
Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. The choices you make while riding an electric scooter or e-bike affect not only you, but all your fellow road users, as well. So let’s get it right!

Be sure to know the rules of the road before setting off on an e-scooter or e-bike. Stick to the bike lanes or close to the side curb, and stay off pavements. Never ride under the influence, and always wear a helmet to keep your head safe. Oh, and no twin-riding – one person per e-scooter or e-bike at a time.

FIRST TIME ON AN E-SCOOTER?
If you haven’t used an electric scooter before – activate reduced-speed mode in the app. This caps the max speed of the scooter, allowing you to start off slow while learning to operate the vehicle.

E-SCOOTER AND E-BIKE PARKING – WHAT APPLIES?
Proper parking is a matter of safety and accessibility. Keep yourself informed of your local rules and regulations in regards to e-scooter and e-bike parking – and follow them. Always park the vehicle standing upright, using the kickstand and be sure not to obstruct the path of pedestrians, cyclists or other vehicles.

LEARN AND EARN
RideSafe Academy provides micro courses that teach you essential knowledge and helpful tips on local electric scooter and e-bike traffic rules and rider safety – all in a fun and engaging way. Boost your road confidence and get rewarded with a free Voi ride! The courses are freely available to all, and in several languages. Go to ridesafe.voi.com.

My Very 1st VOi Hire Scooter Ride:-

As this was my very 1st VOi Hire Scooter ride I had a few things to learn. Having first downloaded the VOi app and read all the terms and conditions, I then did all the training tests to earn a few credits. I was ready, I used the app to find the closest available scooter which was not far away. Having checked the scooter out first I was ready to start my ride. I took my time and soon got used to how to ride the scooter. I noticed you needed to push off first before the motor engaged in my case. Unfortunately the scooter stopped once as I had entered a no ride zone which I will have to get used to. My ride lasted approximately 30 mins with no other incidents. I returned to my original start point and parked up the scooter, taking a picture to prove I had parked up correctly. I will most definitely use VOi hire scooters again. I am 64 years of age and truly believe this is an appropriate method of transport around town. 🤗🤗🤗

Great start

I’ve only used another of these scooter systems one other time, and that was in LA (Bird) this system works very similar, only more restrictive with the need of a driver’s license. This makes sense because these scooters can reach 20mph and are intended for the road.
For where I needed to get around Bristol, these worked very well, until I had to park, the developers really need to look at including more parking spots. Especially near bike racks.
When I installed the app there was anew feature that provided routes to places, so definitely worth using just for that. It does drain your battery though.
The other cool feature is when you need to ride post-sunset. The app gives you a little reaction test to tap the helmets in the screen as quickly as possible. It’s never a good idea to operate machines after drinking alcohol, however everyone reacts differently to its effects and this test is a great way of testing if you have drank over your mentally capable limit.
Great start to a promising system. May you expand to more cities in the UK soon.

Good - but not GREAT!

I thoroughly enjoyed my use of the Voi scooters today, although when parking, twice on separate occasions, it took FOREVER for the GPS on the scooter to finally engage the location that I left them in. I was stuck waiting for a few minutes for the scooter to realise that I actually had left it in an allocated parking location. All the while, I was being charged. So pleased that I have them at my fingertips, but would really appreciate the GPS being worked on so that I’m not waiting for, what seems like an eternity, them to realise I am in a designated parking zone.
Also - my brother scored 1 out of 5 on the ‘how inebriated are you?’ Helmet tapping scale, and the scooter unlocked just fine. What’s the point of doing that if you’re going to give someone the power to drive when they’re ****ed?!
Still fun though. Fo sho.
