Voice Memos 4+

This is so valuable when at a talk/ class/ seminar. IIf given permission, it saves taking notes and can be listened to when one can take notes and absorb the content in a relaxed atmosphere. Meditation commentaries, private notes, reflections, snatches of music enjoyed- so many ways this can be used. It has been used extensively to record classes, seminars, talks and then forward them to those who could not join. Remembering the course the asking permission or understanding the copyright aspect of situations …..

Changed this apps deletion default setting from 30 days to the new IMMEDIATE deletion option, This data link to iCloud feature for this app is disabled. Perform multiple file deletion operation which are removed from data file listing, no deleted file visible as deletion is immediate however the space taken by these deleted files is not released back to iPad storage free space, shutdown and restart the device and the app does not release the previously used data storage space, and this locks up iPad with storage full messages. iPadOS 16.6. IPad 9. I see from posts this is a long standing issue that has never been addressed. Your solution to this shoddy data storage management would be welcomed by the thousands who have to resort to reset option to claw back space from a basic file deletion process. Seriously Apple?

I use this all the time, a very useful app, so my criticism is intended to be constructive. The trimming feature is good to have, but it would be nice if this was more advanced as you can only select a few seconds of recording as a minimum to delete. The option to export audio as wav or mp3 would be good, instead of the proprietary file type.

Something that doesn’t work, and this may be a general thing with iOS, is recording while using Bluetooth earphones that have an inbuilt microphone. It sort of cancels out, and you get a few pops and click sounds. Possibly the noise cancelling stops them from working ? Other than that, a great app, and very useful on my watch also.
