My Preferred Tax Refund Service in France
Really easy to use app that makes the tax refund process in France more seamless. I don’t need to worry about losing the tax refund forms or scanning it all one by one. WeVat aggregates all forms so you just need to scan one barcode at the PABLO kiosk. You get visibility on when to expect the refund and can get paid in the standard 3 months or sooner (you slightly get less). You can also choose to have it paid to your bank account or back to your card. Team is highly responsive and ready to answer any questions. Remember to insist on getting a “facture” with the complete information instead of a tax refund form from the merchant. The app has specific instructions on how to do so. Lastly, check on the WeVat database that the merchant does provide a facture as some prominent luxury brands don’t. Happy shopping!
Easiest tax refund process!
Thanks to Wevat I saved significantly on a special bag I bought myself on holiday. It was a really easy process from start to end - download the app, go through the steps and make sure your read all of their guidance before you actually go in the shop and pay for the product you’re planning to buy. From Uploading the invoice and then getting the refund back, it took around 2-3 days which is incredibly quick. You get two options - wait around 2-3 months for the full refund percentage or get a slightly reduced sum within 7 days which I went for. Thank you so much to the creators of this app!
It's so easy & it works!
Was a bit skeptical and don't want to miss out on the tax refund but gave it a try for some smaller purchases in Paris. Worked like a charm! Got refund for a few purchases that were just over €100, and some shops won't don't the usual refund unless you buy over €150, one shop said €300. Ask for the "frature" works too, just show them the app and they get it.
Refund received the next day when I got back to the UK.
I didn't use this for my handbag purchase, that is a big item refund I can't risk, but may try next time.
