Better than Music Magpie
I used Music Magpie once and felt ripped off and I can’t be bothered with EBay so I decided to try Ziffit. I have now made 8 trades of a mix of dvds (now use CEX for box sets after a couple not accepted), books, CDs and games (now use CEX for games as vouchers better value). On the whole I’ve had a positive experience with only a couple of things not accepted (and it is very irritating that items aren’t returned especially you know your things are in good condition). I use the collect+ service (make sure it’s packed well!) which usually takes just over a week, am paid via PayPal and have never had a problem. The prices vary from week to week so it’s always worth rechecking things that aren’t accepted (or have a low price) on a particular week. You won’t get anywhere near what you paid for something but that’s true for all these companies.
For all those people out there that think they give you barely any money for books listen to me. Firstly stop complaining that you aren’t getting enough money for books, if you use other places such as music magpie they give you just as small prices. Yes your book may be worth £7 NEW but this is second hand, if you don’t like the price your giving don’t bother but I think 50p for a second hand book is fair, considering the fact that it’s quick, easy and you have to factor in that the company has to get a little money off it. Also if half of the books you scan aren’t accepted then stop moaning because apps like Ziffit such as music magpie are no different, they don’t want obscure books they try and sell stuff that people will actually buy, this is a business at the end of the day where everyone is a winner and if you don’t agree with it stop reviewing it and wasting your time.

One star is far too high as Zifits practices are borderline fraudulent I sent off a few textbooks which were brand new only 6 months ago, they gave me a low price for the books initially which I accepted as too busy to sell privately. I received an email reducing the price they were to pay me to only 50p the reasoning was poor quality and unsaleable items. This is absolutely ridiculous. They have taken my items paid me nothing and claim they have been ‘responsibly disposed of’ I have sent similar quality items to a much more reputable brand ‘we buy books’ I would recommend this instead. In response for asking for the books back they have said it is not in their terms and conditions. The way my claim has been dealt with is appalling and I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this shocking. If considering this company’s services just take the books to charity instead if you don’t want them to be wasted like mine have.
Edit to follow up I have contacted customer support of which they were of absolutely no help utterly useless and out here trying to act like they care about their customers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
