This appears to be an easy way to sell unwanted items. Whilst they don’t give much for each book it appears to be a good way of moving items on. The only issue I have is not being able to edit your selling list
I have not completed the full process but so far so good and then it went downhill
It took numerous emails to arrange a pick up, they came on the wrong day after being told the days I was in. Eventually my two boss were collected. The team then decided to deduct some money and I know it’s not much but then they don.t offer much in the first instance. For good customer relations the extra £1.53 could have been given. They said there was water stains on some of the books, not when I packed them there wasn’t. Interestingly they didn’t give me more for the brand new books I sent. So I don’t think I will use them again and a lesson learnt. I would rather give the books away. Poor customer relations

The App itself is easy to use however they don’t explain ahead of you completing the transaction that you can only send 2 boxes per transaction. This resulted in me having to cancel the first transaction and complete 3 separate new ones. However, the worst part was that once all 3 boxes had been confirmed as received they paid me for the first 2 but not the 3rd. The App showed it was received and awaiting checking after nearly 6 weeks I contacted them. It turns out 2 books were “missing” from the box, they were definitely in there when dispatched as I put them in the box as I scanned them. They said they couldn’t claim against the courier as it had been more than 28 days, I pointed out this was because I had not been made aware there was a problem so how could I report it. They said they would pay me for the books minus the value of the 2 “missing” which just happened to be the most valuable books in the box. In the end I waited another month and only got my money after chasing again. As far as I am concerned they have a systematic problem of staff stealing books at their depot for which their process is designed to make the customer pay. Avoid at all costs.

I had been buying my DVDs from musicMagpie for a while before I found out they are based in the town of my birth, wonderful Stockport (so good they named it once...). I have bought single DVDs and box sets without ever finding any problems when playing them. musicMagpie state that they rigorously check that DVDs they sell are watchable, I have always bought DVDs that musicMagpie rate as good or very good and have never been disappointed. I doubt I would ever sell to musicMagpie having read how little they pay for things people want to sell to them, but I usually sell unwanted tech and DVDs to friends who agree to pay a price that I am really happy with! The speed which musicMagpie have always gotten my DVDs to me once I have paid for them has always left me completely satisfied. I cannot think of one criticism that I think musicMagpie deserves and this app is destined to get plenty of use... (P.S, Someone born in Stockport like I was is called a “Stopfordian”).
