How much does it cost to join?
Choose from 3 membership plans: Basic is free, Smart is £6 /month and Plus is £15 /month – and you get the monthly fee back in driving credit. If you change your mind you can switch at any time.
How much does it cost to drive?
Flex: take a one way Zipcar Flex car from 0.29p/minute, or from £12/hour
Roundtrip: drive a Roundtrip car or van from £3/hour
Prices vary depending on the car or van you take, and you’ll find all the info in our app before you book.

What cars can I drive?
We have 3,000 vehicles for you to choose from, including vans and luxury cars too. We also have 325 electric cars you can try out.
What’s the difference between Roundtrip and Flex?
Roundtrip cars and vans live in their own dedicated bay. Just look for the green pin in our app and book. When you’re done park it in the same bay you picked your Zipcar up from.
Flex is our one way service. Search for the blue pins in our app, reserve and we’ll hold it for 15 minutes. Once you’re done just drop it off (almost anywhere!) in the Zipzone.

The concept is totally brilliant - much better than having your own car if you stay within London. But having used DriveNow before they stopped operating in London, I have to say that their App was more mature. The GPS positions of the cars were more precise and Zipcar just charged me twice £2 for once expiring the hold on a car - but when I was in front of the car, I wasn’t given the option to just start the booking, but it started another 15 minutes of hold and charged me for it. When I wanted to use the same car again half an hour later - same story again.
I also had a few cars the last days where the wipers needed replacing.
Completely useless and unfriendly to use
Updated August 2017. Yet again the developers update app and it is unusable again. Can't even book a car at all now, just get endless error messages. Only can through full website. Utter garbage and waste of my membership. How much longer until you fix this disgrace?
Agree with all the other reviewers. This is nightmare to use and book cars, can't see availability of cars, I, like other reviewers, rarely care exactly what time i want a car, just that i need it for x hours to do errands. I've just tried and failed to see whether car i've booked today is free to extend booking. This isn't a patch on streetcar ap. like another reviewer it makes me question my subscription. Also hate the useless 'good to know' fluff and the awful americanisms. Plus the endless stupid reminder texts telling me I've booked and when the booking ends. I'm a sentient adult allowed legally loose on the roads so I am capable of remembering the length of my booking. Hate this ap.

Account blocked for no reason !! Very disappointing
Very disappointed with the service! I rely on their service to do my job and spent 80 a month on the account. One time I log in on a different device and verify my self because my phone wasn't on my at the time they block my account. I contact customer service and they tell me they have escalated the matter to head office and they sent me an email saying my account has been terminated. I have tired to reach out to them exposing the matter but they don't want to hear it. What I don't understand is how does longing in on a different device gets your account terminated completely. I even reached out to them letting them know from now on I will only use my main phone to log in but it's seems to be a one way communication. I am very very very disappointed considering I was a loyal customer and this is how I end up being treated!
