Have you already downloaded Zwift? If so, you’re in the right place—Zwift Companion makes Zwifting better.
It’s like a remote control for Zwift that you can use pre-ride, during your ride, and post-ride.
Zwift Companion is a great place to plan your next activity. With all the events in one place and thousands to choose from, you're sure to discover like-minded athletes who want to get fit together. You can also find and join clubs on Zwift Companion.
You'll see rides chosen specifically for you based on your preferences, fitness level, and upcoming events. You can even set reminders, so you're never late for a ride.
You'll also find a bunch of cool information on Zwift Companion's home screen, like the number of people currently Zwifting, as well as any friends or contacts you're following.
Have Zwift equipment? You can also update the firmware with the Companion app.
DURING YOUR RIDE
With Zwift Companion, you can send RideOns, text with other Zwifters, bang U-Turns, choose between route options, and more. You can also adjust the resistance of your trainer on the fly during structured workouts, to increase or decrease intensity. Want to turn erg mode on or off, take screenshots, or see riders nearby and their stats? All of this happens on Zwift Companion.
POST-RIDE
Take a deep dive into your ride data and the folks you rode with. You can also check in on your progress for any Tours you’re participating in and the goals you set for yourself.

Before I signed up for zwift I was a bit sceptical about it but In reality, the experience I’ve had with it is just unbelievable, I am addicted now 3 months on from my initial ride I’ve become so familiar with it.. the app is essential when it comes to meet-ups and entering events. I cycle regularly with friends in Canada and I live in Ireland virtual or not the social interaction is real.. I wish I was a sales man for Zwift !! It is definitely a must have for all cyclists the real life feel of the rides is just so impressive every cyclist will understand what the “bug” is, well there is a zwift bug too and it has bit me.
Not up to scratch

Firstly let me say I’m a huge Zwift fan and have been for two and bit years. I love the main program but this companion app is frustrating beyond comparison and not up to the high standard you grow to expect from Zwift. It (the ZC app) frequently crashes especially since iOS 13 launched. It’s even more frustrating as it’s needed to boost the BLE connections to the main program if you’re using Apple TV to Zwift, so to have it crashing means you lose data and connections for whatever you’re feeding via the ZC app (in my case a cadence sensor). It could be so much more than it is, has enormous potential but under realised and poorly supported, the customer support team will point the blame at almost anything else except themselves. I live in hope of a fix, in the meantime; beware of its limitations and if you’re not using it as a companion to the Apple TV I’m sure it’s a great addition to being more social on Zwift. Ride-on!
Needs connectivity work
Robbijay
Great in theory and WHEN it’s working. Fed up with having to reboot my iPad/phone/watch every single time just to get my HR to work though. Then once you choose a route it stops and you have to reboot your phone/watch again to force it to work…. Admittedly this is party apples fault for not broadcasting HR like every other fitness tracker.Update: After a reasonable few months of being able to get Apple Watch to connect (albeit connect. Then disconnect when you’ve chosen what to ride and then connecting again), the latest update has screwed it completely even when the watch says connected, Zwift displays zilch. Then you try to reboot all your devices and it doesn’t turn up at all!
You’ve broken Apple Watch connectivity
G A Sharpe
Latest Zwift update has broken Apple Watch connectivity. May I suggest a little market research investment? You would then find out that the Apple Watch is quite popular around the world and quite handy to use as a HRM. If you’re struggling financially and making a large percentage of your workforce redundant, why are you alienating a large portion of your subscriber base and major source of revenue? Even though the Apple Watch connectivity never functioned brilliantly, I kind of got used to it’s quirkiness. Trying to get it to connect was always a challenge I looked forward to before slogging around Innsbruck or a quick lap round London. Please fix it, and perhaps try to do it a little bit better this time. Thanks.
