What’s New

Version 1.75.2

• When long messages are shown in the HUD (e.g., Ride Ons received from a Zwifter with a long name), the message now scrolls instead of being truncated.
• Fixed an issue that could potentially prevent Zwifters from completing events on the Sleepless City route in Makuri Islands.
• Fixed an issue that could cause the "Quit Event" button to overlap with the "Menu" button when participating in an event on some Apple tablets.

What has happened to this App

First of all I use an iPad with Zwift installed, I have an Ellite Supercrono Smart turbo Trainer and I use Garmin speed and cadence sensors with my CABLE (North Pole Express) as the bridge. I have used this set up for the past 3 years with very little issues. The small issues I have had, I have resolved without much effort. I have been using this App for 3 years now and I have really enjoyed using it. Even more so now the developers have added new Maps. For the past month however, I have been having issues with dropouts. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Zwift and uninstalled and reinstalled the Cable software re-pairing the sensors each time, I have turned off other devices to cut down the chances of interference, I have even installed Zwift on my Samsung Galaxy A71, HOWEVER, no matter what I do, each time I ride, I continually get multiple dropouts within the ride; 10 per 15 minutes. My speed, and cadence drops out. I have installed new batteries in the Cable, speed and cadence sensors multiple times. Why is this happening Zwift. I have now uninstalled Zwift permanently and I’ll be using something else.

Genuine Game Changer

Riding with others, whether cooperatively or competitively, is the key, motivating factor. You will ride more, you will push harder and even have more “fun” because others are there doing it with you or against you. Variety of terrain, workouts, group rides and group workouts, races and all the eye candy is the icing on the cake but doing it all with others will keep you coming back for more. Technically it’s worked for me 99% of the time on various hardware, give the free trial a bash if you want reassurance. Costs - way less than a round of drinks per month and it saves me way more than that by continuing to be an appealing alternative!
Just to add, this review is based on using PC, iPad and iPhone versions with a power meter and basic “dumb” trainer. I have also used the very basic speed sensor setup (virtual or “Z Power”) for a short time, which worked absolutely fine, but is likely to significantly exaggerate your performance (in my case, verified with subsequent power meter comparison, around +7-10%).

Life changing

Little bit of backstory, I bought a Zwift hub one with a free year of membership towards the end of December 2023. I was looking for a cardio workout that was easier on my legs than running. Since then I have been completely hooked. I have rode over 500 miles spent over 30 hours on Zwift! (Would of been a lot more miles however I’m working on unlocking the Tron bike) I’ve competed in a couple races with my friend and they were extremely competitive got the same butterflies in my stomach as a real life race at the start and throughout I was pushing to my limit. There’s endless things to do on this app including races, group rides, workouts, hill climbs, sprints and so much more, I can see myself using Zwift as my main form of cardio from now on it’s honestly amazing. I wouldn’t usually sit here and write reviews but this has changed my life. So thankful to the developers can’t wait to see where it goes in the future!
