Such a great way of keeping in touch with friends without the formality of a computer, anywhere, any time. And you can see whether they have picked up the message, and that’s useful too.I hate autocorrect. If you don’t watch it like a hawk it messes things up. A friend’s son Johannes turned up as Johannesburg throughout! And sometimes the sense can be changed entirely.If you write in vertical mode it can be difficult to scroll back to check. If you write in horizontal mode you are sometimes only able to see one line of text at a time instead of the whole message, and that is inconvenient too.Phone calls can be a problem as they can suddenly cut out. Calls abroad are more reliable but local calls can be a nightmare with more than one cut per conversation.I love the way it is so easy to share photos.That is a big plus, without the faff of having to resize camera photos to a small enough pixel size to send.That’s it for now! Enjoy it but be prepared for occasional feelings of exasperation!!

I love the voice and video call quality, especially when I’m talking to friends and family overseas. The end-to-end encryption gives me peace of mind, and features like group chats, status updates, and document sharing make it incredibly useful for both personal and work communication. Highly recommended!
Notifications are completely messed up

I have been using the app since many years, but it has become almost frustrating due to the fact that notifications are completely messed up for my old iPhone 7 Plus running on iOS 15.8.6 with the recent versions of the app, maybe like since a couple of months ago.I can’t see a pattern in the behavior of the notifications but all in all what is happening is that I rarely get notifications for new messages. I have tried everything possible but it really seems like a bug of the app as I had no issues with earlier versions.

I have been using WhatsApp for many many years and always have been satisfied and happy with the App. But since the AI-function Icon has been added (colorful circle in the corner) I don’t get any notifications anymore when a message or call are incoming. I checked even with the internal AI how to fix that problem but wasn’t successful. I also can’t deactivate the AI-function which is ridiculous and means Meta forces everybody to deal with it. Unless this bug won’t be fixed by WhatsApp and I continue to miss messages and calls, I am forced to switch to Signal or Telegram or another messaging service, which won’t be a problem, as I can even import my WhatsApp Chats. Or will there be an update on that bug?
