This cottage is definitely the best accommodation in my 25-day trip to New Zealand. It is private, quiet, spacious and clean with everything you need inside the house. The huge patio facing the beautiful small lake with dozens of ducks playing over the water gave me and my wife wonderful time enjoying our wine and cheese. The owner Ian is very nice and his two dogs are friendly. Really love the place and hope could stay much longer next time. Certainly would recommend Ian’s place to other people.

First the host Satria was nice to reach out ahead of time and let me know the room is ready even before I arrive. My room was available for me even before lunch.
I just got lost as my phone battery died, but luckily the local are nice to help me out.
The location was indeed closed to the pier!
But it was the very local area therefore please be aware and respect of their culture and environment.
As my guide of finding my way back home was the muslim mosue. Google app works very well, the host also rent a bike for me which are the best option to go so round the island. Are if you did your research, only bikes and horses are available as transportation.

The room was simple white clean and quiet as it’s indeed was the end of the street. I was a solo female traveler and still felt confident with my safety going back home around 11pm.
But please be sure you really check the area and road as it’s not the common tourist spot.

The apartment is unexpectedly good!! It is a home away from home! We stayed there for 3 nights. The location is perfect as well, two supermarkets close by and not far away from the old town. The washing machine and hanger prove to be useful especially after island hopping.

The kitchen was immaculately clean and neat!

Roko is a really nice host, he is only staying next door. He rescued me on my poor parking skill. Also braved the rain to load up our luggages. In short if you need help, he will save you!
