MOL Bubi is an environmentally friendly, fast and convenient mobility alternative in the city centre. Opt for the greenest means of public transport and use MOL Bubi!
Download the app, find a MOL Bubi bike at one of the 158 stations and you are ready to ride within a few seconds.
All this in the blink of an eye: once you have registered, you can choose the fare that best suits you, and then you will be able to read the news, give feedback, redeem a coupon or contact customer service directly.
Use the QR code scanner to pick up a bike or enter the 6-digit number seen on the rear of the bike or below the seat tube. The smart lock in the back will open with a loud click, and after the beep, you can start cycling. In the app, you can track how long you have been riding. When you are ready to finish cycling, just return the bike to any station and dock it into a free slot. Lock the bike by pressing down the lever on the smart lock until it clicks.

The new MOL Bubi application offers you everything you need to enjoy a ride by public bike in Budapest any time you wish. After registration, you can easily buy your monthly or annual MOL Bubi pass, then use the QR code scanner to pick up a bike. The optimised size of the app uses as little storage space on your phone as possible.

Easy to use, environment friendly

Nice app decent functionality and good service
It is easy to start a rental and closing it. Very useful the display of running rental time on the top. The service has a great pricing. The bikes are sturdy but a bit heavier than expected. There are empty stations at frequent spots sometimes, but renting bikes left off-station makes this question definitely easier.

Useless
Today I gave another chance to BuBi.
It was a fault.
When i picked up the bike the locker does not opened but the application said that I am already renting the bike.
I tried several times in the application with the opening also but it was useless.
When I wanted to gave back the bike there was also problems.
Locked the bike but the application said always that I am still using the bike.
I tried reopen and than lock again but in the first time it wasn’t helped.
Than the application frozen also so it was also a huge problem during the rent time.
At the end it was successful to give back, but it is not an user friendly service. It’s time wasting. If I walk insted of BuBi I would have been faster.
The other problem with the BuBi system is that there is no BuBi station in the most busiest train station (Kelenföld). I think it would be much more better if there is possibility to take a bike after the train and vica versa.
