Absolutely trash customer care
I used this app for years since it was still under the sharenow brand, fee months ago i rented a car through Wigo and unknowingly had a stolen/frozen card still listed on the app. The charge had failed, and instead of calling or texting me (they had my number), they sent two emails over three months—to an old, unused email. No follow-up, no SMS, no call.
Without warning, they passed a tiny unpaid amount (6,000 HUF) to debt collectors who doubled the charge. I only found out after trying to rent again and being locked out of my account. i was told my account will be restored after paying the due fine. I paid the full amount immediately and asked to reactivate my account, but was told it’s permanently suspended due to late payment.
Wigo chose profit over communication. They clearly preferred I miss the payment and get fined than notify me properly. That’s not customer care—that’s predatory practice.
Obvious stepback from ShareNow
When starting a rental and the app open the car and immediately closes it, making any actions (such as opening up the car again) impossible for 1-2 minutes (which is cheeky for a pay per minute service).
Also: however I have a registered credit card to the account, I have to process the payment manually. The app doesn’t notify about unsuccessful payment or anything, but takes over 10 minutes to process the manual payment. Really sad that the application is such a stepback, because the service all in all is (or rather would be) good.
