Great idea, but not quite there yet

Really cool to have PHP running actually on the iPad. Handy for working on code, testing without actually having to upload every time.

However as a tool for this purpose it's a bit too limited at this early stage. It lacks syntax highlighting (it gives the PHP and HTML parts different colours but not the code elements themselves). It also lacks FTP up/download capability which you need to upload the finished and tested code. You can still use an external app for this but it defeats the purpose a bit.

Finally it doesn't really have any kind of debugging tool, to support stepping through code, setting break points etc. I think these limitations don't really make it a full-fledged IDE and I hope they will be addressed. It's useful as it is, to learn PHP without needing a web server, and a very good idea to have PHP running on the actual iPad. But it needs a little more attention to make it really useful.
