The Volkswagen app is the digital companion for your Volkswagen. It allows you to use mobile online services, irrespective of which model you drive with which drive type and whether you have a VW Connect, We Connect or Car-Net contract.
With the Volkswagen app, for instance, as the primary user, you can view your Volkswagen vehicle’s current range, pre-set your preferred temperature, find filling stations and charging stations and much more!
Here are just a few of the wide range of services available:
• Vehicle status: Check whether the vehicle is locked and the lights are switched off
• Send your destination to your vehicle with ease before you travel
• View the last parking position
• Store your preferred authorised workshop or contact Volkswagen AG directly
• Vehicle Health Report
• View the remaining range and current charge level even when you're not in the vehicle
Find out for yourself! The scope of functions may vary in particular according to vehicle configuration, contract (VW Connect, VW Connect Plus, We Connect or We Connect Plus), software version and market. Certain functions may become available for your vehicle at a later date where applicable.

We Charge:
• Availability of charging stations in real time and further details (operator, charging capacity, etc.)
• Manage charging plans and charging cards and view charging history
• Connect and control the charger at home

The Volkswagen app is the former We Connect ID. app and also incorporates the functions of the We Connect app.
Download the Volkswagen app and updates free of charge using the button. If you do not perform available updates, you may not be able to access the full range of functions in their entirety.

To use the mobile online services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and to log in to the Volkswagen app with your username and password. In addition, a separate contract (VW Connect, VW Connect Plus, We Connect or We Connect Plus) on the use of mobile online services must be concluded with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the Volkswagen app. More information is available at connect.volkswagen.com and your Volkswagen dealership.
ID.3 Pro: Electricity consumption in kWh/100 km: combined 16.5-15.2; CO2 emissions in g/km: combined 0. Consumption and emissions data is only available for the vehicle according to the WLTP, and not according to the NEDC. Information on consumption and CO₂ emissions with ranges depending on the selected equipment of the vehicle.
In practice, the actual electrical range varies depending on factors including driving style, speed, use of convenience/auxiliary equipment, outside temperature, number of passengers/additional load, topography and the battery's age and wear process.
It’s a year around since I using we charge. I’m actually disappointed, because in whole year’s time, seclude charge is not fixed. Even app lately crashes. Only way to get it work is delete and reinstall again. What a pure joke for 60k value car.Update for 2025New car id4 pro plus. Thinks are dramatically improved since. App works great. Car software works great. Hopefully everything more or less is sorted and no any more surprises.

The whole idea of one main user and guest users is weak and I’m surprised by how this big company still doesn’t care about environmental problems and even can’t imagine that one car might be used by all family drivers.Yes, people who care don’t by car for every driver in the family and would like to have fair access for all features in the app. As a second driver I have no access for car data and remote controls which is annoying and frustrating at the same time. Also need to change users and confirm login every time before the drive is super annoying.The one of big problems is security. If second driver used car and have no data of car location in case of theft this option is useless.Also recently there appeared another problem. Both the main and second drivers get lots of notifications that login attempts are failed. So my user experience is very poor and I hope that in future those issues will be considered and fixed. Thank you!

Extremely unrealisable app!

The Volkswagen app is honestly one of the most frustrating apps I have ever used. It rarely works properly from mobile and most of the time I can’t even turn on the ACC remotely. I constantly get random errors and the most common one is:“Operation via app currently not possible.The 12-volt vehicle battery level is too low. It will be automatically recharged with the next vehicle use.”This message appears even when the car has been recently driven and the battery is fine. On top of that, the app seems completely unable to handle more than one user. If my second user drives the car and is logged in, I lose all control through the app until they log out, which makes no sense.Another huge issue is that I need to constantly accept the terms on the car screen just to keep the location tracking active. If I don’t accept the terms again, the app simply stops tracking the vehicle. And even when it works, the tracking only seems to work while the car is stopped, which defeats the entire purpose of real time tracking.Overall, the app is terrible. It fails at the most basic features and creates more frustration than convenience. I am honestly considering changing the car brand purely because of how bad this app is.

Widget Functionality Removed?

App has been pretty decent but checking today and my widget is no longer working, nor is there an option to add it as a new widget. If this was on purpose, they should really notify that they are removing app features as part of an update and not just say it’s bug fixes
