Every workshop runs on three things: what came in, what was done to it, and whether anybody got paid for it. Most keep them in three places, a job card on the counter, a clipboard in the bay, an accounts package the office opens once a week. Workbay is one system for all of it.
It is built for vehicle workshops, and built to be used where the work happens. A mechanic opens the job at the vehicle, photographs what they found, runs the inspection on a trolley-mounted iPhone or iPad and hands the customer a phone to sign. The office sees it as it happens. Nothing is written down twice.
The vehicle is at the centre of it, not the invoice. Jobs, inspections, defects, photographs and mileage stay attached to the registration, so when a truck comes back eighteen months later the workshop can see the state it was in, what was replaced, and what was advised and never authorised.
Work then becomes money without being retyped. A finished job carries its own labour and parts onto the invoice, priced at what was agreed rather than at today's price list, and the customer pays at the counter with Tap to Pay on iPhone. All of it keeps working when the connection does not: yards are steel sheds, so inspections and job capture are held on the device and sent when the signal returns.
Diary and online bookings, customers and fleets, job cards, six inspection sheets including vehicle health checks, defects, photographs and video, service dates, invoicing, payments, statements, and exports for the accountant.
Workbay is sold to workshops for their staff. Accounts come from your workshop's administrator or an invitation.
