Leap Top Up 4+

It’s an alright app

It’s a great app to check the balance on your leap card and easily top up from as little as €5 without an topping up fee like in other places. The only downside I experience using this app is when the app reads scans the leap card and reads it, after successfully reading your leap card the app still won’t open. Plus, it can be slow reading the leap card and would even say that there’s an error. Also, in other cases the app can close automatically while using the app. It works and doesn’t at times, there’s no consistent at all. I’ve tried closing and reopening the app, I’ve tried restarting my phone and these didn’t work either. Pls fix this issue

Superb App

The design and experience is perfect, this app does exactly what you’d expect. You can scan your leap card from your phone, view the balance and top up. The UI/UX design is perfect - it has a beautiful native iOS look and feel, and the payment process is simple and integrates with the Apple payment processes. No glitchy third party payment tools here, just simple pay with the cards stored on your phone.

My only advice would be to let the team behind this app take a look at the TFI Live app. It’s funny how TFI have two sister apps, but one looks like it was designed by a hobbyist in 2012 while the other (this app) looks like it was designed by Apple themselves.

The Leap Top Up team only works on this app and there is a diferrent supplier team that works on the TFI Live app. Since TFI live app is a new app the respective team is trying to improve the app functionality and user experience in the upcoming TFI Live App releases. So handy, but the sensor for the card is finnicky

This app makes topping up super convenient. The sensor for reading your leap card doesn’t work for me when I hold it up to the back of my phone right away. I usually have to wait a few seconds and then hold it there and it will work without errors.
