The recent update to this App is really annoying! You can’t pay your bill through the app, the button is greyed out and you have to go to the website. You can’t check for an upgrade via the app either. A lot of the normal options have disappeared and if you try to locate them or find them the links just loop you around in circles back to the summary page. You also use to be able to modify your plan add ons for the following months like add extra data etc.. that option is not available through the app anymore. You just have to wait for the text to say you reached the limit and text to add on some extra data at the premium rate/mid month rate.

So many problems & glitches with this app I don’t even know where to start ... but for starters I wish they would fix the login screen. It takes me about half an hour at least to login in every time. I’m inputting the correct password, it keeps telling me it’s the incorrect password (but it’s definitely not the wrong one). Sometimes it kicks me back or into the old login screen (ie the screen from old My Vodafone app) or it will just keep telling me it’s the incorrect password numerous times. Eventually, and only sometimes, it may finally login me in but this is completely random and sometimes it doesn’t. Most times I lose the will to live and just give up to be honest. Then, on the odd occasion I do actually get into the app, it’s so “un-user” friendly and hard to read and navigate. Also, I can’t find to seem anywhere where I can chat to a customer service rep or a web form to make enquiries. That’s not to say it’s not there. I’m quite tech savvy but I find this app extremely difficult to navigate so it may be there somewhere!! I hope Vodafone read these reviews as there seems to be a consistent theme running through them!

This app is terrible. Use autofill. Remember your details. Type them in from memory or from having called out to you. Won’t matter. The app will tell you that you’re wrong. Then, when it deigns to let you in, and you’d like to do anything related to your account, it’s slow, it has random errors that direct you to chat to support to rectify. So you go, eventually because you’re sick of the app, to chat to support. And you have a slower, buggier, unwieldy interface. I’ve used hobby Eliza programs that had better interfaces. I’m fairly certain that prehistoric man, hammering with rocks on fallen tree trunks had a better interface. And prehistoric man probably got better satisfaction too… Overall, the app is a wrapper for a website that is every UX and UI designers nightmare made flesh. Usability is thrown out the window in the name of making sure people can’t **actually** get to someone who’ll help. Remember, Vodafone removed their hosted forums, have no presence on the likes of Reddit (which they block) or boards dot ie. You should try to phone them. I did that recently too. Got hung up on 4 times before I spoke to someone who couldn’t answer my questions and directed me back to the chat. Through the app. Dante got it wrong. This app is a new circle of Hell and they took away Sisyphus’ Stone and gave him a smartphone instead.

I was due a phone upgrade and tried to do it while keeping my current bill pay plan through the app but it kept freezing and crashing when I would try to do it. I tried the website on my laptop and the same thing kept happening. I spoke to chat support and they told me to go into the store I was trying to order it for pickup. The staff (who was lovely and professional and tried to help me) tried to help me and saw the order still in my basket. He tried to start the order again for me but the option for my bill pay plan was gone and the only options available were more expensive ones. He told me to call phone support to try and fix it. I checked my account before hand and my option to upgrade was gone entirely. Spoke to a woman (who was also lovely and professional) and she told me that she could do it but have it delivered to my house (which I can’t do as my packages keep getting stolen, which is why I wanted store pickup). She confirmed that the option was no longer on my account to upgrade and my only option was to wait two days for it to return and try again. The app and site are very bad, I spent hours trying to make it work and instead it just made it impossible to for me to upgrade at all. Staff I dealt with today were lovely and professional but this app is god awful and turned what should be something thats very simple into something very complex and a huge hassle. How is the app this bad?
