Great to see new Safari books platform online

Proquest have taken Safari O’Reilly books to new heights. They have developed an online library focused learning platform. The textbooks are easily downloadable on any mobile device. Users can create playlists of books videos and podcasts. Looking forward to seeing more new content being added.

Obsolete an non user friendly, hard to read

The app is lazily done. No text layout options (justify, left, etc), no font selection (kindle has, like 10-15 fonts), eye hurting backgrounds (grey, sepia, black?). Most of your subscribers have some sort of eye issues because they stare at screens for 16 hours a day and you have this high-school project app representing O'Reilly which costs us, your subscribers, hundreds of €€€ every year? Maybe it's time to look at the competition. Improve it or you'll be dropping subscribers. You can use the AI that you're trying to put everywhere on how to do it.

Bring back Safari Online

Pretty much everything about the new app (and service in general) is terrible. For a company whose main business is technical books, they seem to have no idea how technical people want to access books. We don’t queue them up in “playlists” so we can read them on our phone. We dip in and out of trusted sources to check things when we need to. But there’s no good way to just keep a few “piles” of books around like there used to be, to (for example) refer to on youriPad while working on your desktop.
