Description
Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in. This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or mobile connection.
• Sync your Authenticator codes to your Google Account and across your devices. This way, you can always access them even if you lose your phone.
• Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly.
• Support for multiple accounts. You can use the authenticator app to manage multiple accounts, so you don't have to switch between apps every time you need to sign in.
• Support for time-based and counter-based code generation. You can choose the type of code generation that best suits your needs.
• Transfer accounts between devices with a QR code. This is a convenient way to move your accounts to a new device.
To use Google Authenticator with Google, you need to enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account. To get started, visit http://www.google.com/2step

Ratings and Reviews
Awesome App but needs nested directory
The app is really good. But now I have about 12 Authenticators and it makes it hard to view everything. Would be great if could create folders or something. So my programming related stuff are in 1 folder. Like Github, heroku etc.. another folder for social medias.. Please consider this change. Would be really helpful
Please provide ability to name the Apps
Please provide the ability to edit, rename the app names that are configured in the app because some of us use some apps which we would like to keep private from our social circle.
What do I mean? Currently, if you configure 2FA by scanning the barcode, the app would automatically configure the name of the app and this name is non-editable.
Eg- Gmail cannot be renamed to GM1. Giving the ability to rename the app names to our liking would help protect privacy of apps like dating, government services etc.
Finally added the features except one
Google authenticator was infamous for not having the option to back up codes. It was the one major flaw which made is unusable. Now they finally fixed it.
The one thing I want them to do is to make the authenticator available on PC as well.
