Google Maps - Transit & Food 4+

Google Maps continues to be a reliable and indispensable tool for navigation. Whether you’re driving, walking, cycling, or using public transport, it provides accurate real-time directions, estimated arrival times, and alternate routes to avoid delays. The app is intuitive, with easy-to-read maps and clear turn-by-turn voice navigation.

One of its standout features is the ability to view live traffic updates, including accidents, road closures, and slowdowns. Additionally, Google Maps offers detailed street views and reviews for restaurants, businesses, and other locations, which helps in planning visits. It’s also fantastic for local exploration, offering recommendations based on your preferences and search history.

While it does have occasional glitches or inaccuracies in rural or less-charted areas, it remains the gold standard for mapping apps. Overall, Google Maps is indispensable for both everyday navigation and travel planning.

I try to review most places I visit, so it can help others. Along with the reviews I try to attach photos and videos as well, to make sure that I give the proof of my review and it is believable and genuine. However, in most of my reviews where I have added photos and videos they do not get uploaded and shows a message your upload is pending. At the time of posting the review it doesn’t show this message but when I look back at my review I come to know that the photos are not visible and showing this message. Sometimes, when I edit the review and just add the caption to the photo it resolve this issue. But if I put the caption while posting the review initially, it doesn’t get resolved. Why do you want me to rework the review twice. Can’t it get uploaded the first time. Please fix this, and if there’s something which I am doing wrong then tell me, because I have checked online and people tend to say that it might be network issue or google reviewing the photos. To that my question is, if I am able to stream a 4k movie on the same network why can’t a simple picture get uploaded on it, and if google is reviewing then how come it gets uploaded right away when I edit the review and add some captions?
It’s really doesn’t make sense to me. If anyone who knows what’s causing this and how to fix it, then please let me know. It’s really putting me off and discouraging me to review and add photos of places, which I don’t want to stop.

Google maps is one of the most incredible apps which has actually changed and added great value to our lives. I have still given it 4 stars instead of 5 plus because I’m finding the user interface to be not as intuitive as it should be. A week ago for some reason google maps started showing me an inverted image when paired through apple car play with my car. Since I couldn’t solve that problem by ordinary means, I deleted the app and reinstalled it (downloaded it back from the cloud). While this solved the problem of the inverted image on the paired car screen, it started the voice narration for directions. Now I’m trying to find the licks even buried deep into the menus but I seem to have seen everywhere and can’t find it! I can’t imagine where it’ll be buried, while it is such an important feature that it warrants having its own icon on the navigation screen to simply click and toggle between voice narration on or off. Any kid designing this app would also probably say the same. Bad miss from google who should have billions of dollars behind their tech and design and consumer feedback teams.
