High-quality on-device transcription. Easily convert speech to text from meetings, lectures, and more. The transcription is powered by OpenAI's Whisper running locally on your device. Nothing leaves your device. You can export the transcription as subtitles too. It has a word-replacement feature to let you automatically fix common mistakes. Aiko favors accuracy over speed. It does not do live transcription while recording. It does not currently have speaker detection. Try the trial first. See website. Note: Sharing from Voice Memos on iOS 26 does not work because of a iOS 26 bug outside of my control. However, performance is expected to improve in the coming months. ‣ Why must I keep the iOS app open while it transcribes? iOS apps are fundamentally restricted from operating in the background for extended periods. ‣ Can I delete some of the languages to save space? This is unfortunately not possible. The model has all the languages stored together in a way that makes it impossible to remove just some languages. Pretty good transcription, however…

Firstly I would like to thank the developers for this app. I am hard of hearing and therefore, for transcribing the lectures I was looking for something like this. My only complaint or rather request is that if possible, can you make it so that there is real-time transcriptions? Also if possible add a feature to automatically save the transcribe, because more than once I accidentally closed the app or my screen and lost the transcription, and since there is no feature to save the recording, I was unable to review the lecture.Anyways, I would like to express my gratitude for such an app, and even that totally free!!!!

This App deserves more ratings and reviews. It Just Works™ and does a great job.The Medium model on the M1 iPad Pro is extremely performant.However the Complete model on my old Intel MacBook Pro is slow and a respurce hog. It would be great if pone could choose the model size. Medium is perfectly adequate for my application.
