Honestly, I’m a huge fan of Storytel have been using it since 2018! Love the wide range of selection they have. And earlier we could buy subscriptions via web and it was ok. Now they have disabled the subscription option via web. So when my yearly subscription ended and I wanted to resubscribe, it directed me to the app, in all when I clicked on subscribe it told me issue with payment method, so I had to login into web again to update payment method but guess what it shows no payment method saved and no option to input a payment method and without a payment method update I can’t buy a subscription via app. And the cycle goes on. I contacted customer care, they responded but they kept telling me select a title and try playing it which will lead you to buy subscription and then you can proceed from there. But guess what… when I select a title and click on play it just buffers and then stops, no prompt to subscribe to the app appears. And then I was told to subscribe to it using App Store but I don’t see an option in my App Store to subscribe to it as well. This is just a mess and no resolution from customer care as well. I’m frustrated. I tried buying a gift card and then redeeming it but to buy gift card as well it’s just redirecting to the app. This is such a hassle with no rewards. I have been trying for past 2 weeks to resubscribe to it and I’m just disheartened and sad that I’m unable to do it and use the app. So disappointed.
