Sahyatri is carpooling for India's intercity roads. If you are already driving from one city to another, publish the trip and share the empty seats with people going the same way. If you are the one travelling, find a driver already making that journey and book a seat. Nobody is a taxi here. Drivers are ordinary people making a journey they were making anyway, and passengers simply chip in for the fuel and tolls. FIND A RIDE • Search by leaving-from, going-to, date and number of seats • Filter and sort the results to find the ride that fits • See the departure time, trip duration, price per seat and seats left • Open any ride to see the pickup and drop points on an OpenStreetMap map, the driver's rating, trust score and verification badges • Book instantly, or send a request to drivers who prefer to approve each passenger themselves PUBLISH A RIDE • Set your route, add a stop on the way to pick up more passengers • Pick your departure date and time and how many seats you can spare • Get a suggested price per seat based on the distance, or set your own • Say how you like to travel: smoking, pets, music, air conditioning and how chatty you are • Choose which of your vehicles you are driving and add a note for passengers • Review everything, then publish DRIVE AND MANAGE • See booking requests and accept or decline each one • View your confirmed passengers for every ride • Start the trip and mark it complete when you arrive • Edit or cancel a ride if your plans change PAY IN CASH Sahyatri does not touch your money. The price per seat is agreed up front and the passenger hands the fare to the driver in cash. There is no card, no UPI and no in-app payment to set up. CHAT BEFORE YOU TRAVEL Message the driver or passenger inside the app to agree the exact pickup point, tell them you are on your way, or say you are running late. Messages arrive in real time. TRUST AND VERIFICATION • Verify your phone number, email address, government ID and driving licence to earn badges on your profile • Rate every co-traveller after the trip and read reviews before you book • Build a trust score that other members can see • Report or block anyone who does not belong in the community SAFETY CENTRE • Save trusted contacts inside the app • Tap SOS and Sahyatri sends your trusted contacts an SMS with your location and alerts our support team • Location is read only at the moment you press SOS — Sahyatri never tracks you in the background INVITE AND EARN Share your referral code. Your friend gets credit on their first ride, and you earn credit when they complete it. Your credit and full transaction history live in the Wallet tab.
