(Old) Kotak Stock Trading 4+

This App is cumbersome and tedious. It gives access only to registerd people and only if we log in with all credentials. If we want to just browse it for information on various shares / stock market data, it doesn’t allow. Earlier version of App had this facility. In earlier version, log in is required only if you want to buy/sell or tsfr funds etc. It used to be very convenient. That facility is not there now. I am now required to log in compulsorily even if I am not wanting to trade but only to see the share prices.
Earlier App version was much much better.

The app is a decent upgrade from the last version, but still very complicated to use, they do not have a ipo section, in the current version it takes you to web page where an application needs to be entered, the biggest flaw of the app is the charges, the brokerage rates are one thing but kotak is not transparent in the charges they levy on the customers like DP outgoing charges / Stock pledging / DP charges / There is something called other charges over and above the brokerage charge which is not explained, yearly Account maintenance charge, so when you purchase a share the average price you will pay and what will be cost on purchasing the share is not known the customer.
For customers who are sensitive towards charges and quality of service this is not the platform to use.
The customer service is terrible, after waiting 20-30 mins on a call and speaking to agents the standard reply a customer gets is someone will get back to you and generally a email is sent out without even understanding the problem the customer has raised. The customer service team has no clue on the charges and cannot provide any solutions to a problem their standard reply is someone will get back to you in 48hrs.
There are far more efficient / customer friendly platforms available it’s best to avoided.

1. If I have multiple user ID’s it does not give me the option which user ID I need to select. I have to remember the user id if I have to switch between multiple. I’m using iOS app. 2. Garbage stock or option calls get added to my watchlist and I’m not be able to remove the stock from my watchlist. 3. When I search the stock I get the overview I get all the tab for option and future further I can buy anything (Delivery, Option or Future). However if I have selected Future and I want to buy the stock for delivery I have to come out fully and again search the stock. 4. In the new app watchlist number are not refreshed after old series Future are removed. I’m not able to add April Series future as count has reached 100 and also by default old series Future/Option should be removed and count of the watchlist should be refreshed. New app is Frustrating.

Also how do I update my new password using the app. In my current password I have @ which is not allowed now. So my current password is showing as invalid. How you guys pass the testing of these things.
