Description
It was ‘Sancharam’ that presented exploratory trips in their fullness in Indian visual media for the first time. Santhosh George Kulangara, the globetrotter, started his solo journeys outside India in 1997. He has already travelled through more than hundred countries, spanning the seven continents, with his camera.
The wonderful experiences and splendid sights of those journeys were telecast by Asianet as ‘Sancharam’, a realistic visual travelogue. The viewers, who have always been fond of travel and knowledge, welcomed ‘Sancharam’ with great exuberance.
In his turn, Santhosh George went about capturing in his camera the sights of the various lands, which the viewers haven’t seen and presented before them the diversity of world countries, as they longed to see. After 16 years since he had started travelling, ‘Sancharam’ has turned out to be an exclusive, round-the-clock exploration channel. And that is Safari.
Thus, Safari has a unique history of transforming itself from a half-an-hour travelogue programme telecast once in a week into a 24 X 7 channel. Safari is a channel that brings the diversity of the global expanse to the visiting room of every Malayalee. This is the first exploration channel in India.Safari presents diverse programmes that provide entertainment and knowledge alike.
World travels, Indian travels, numerous other journeys, history, geography, culture, art and adventure- all come before the viewers through this. The curiosity to know ‘what is beyond that’ is the real motive of all the explorations of mankind. The objective of Safari is to inspire each and every viewer to take up travels, both short and extensive, for experiencing and learning the world. Travels that take the viewer along... That is the ultimate objective of this channel.

Safari app for apple TV
Hello dear SGK and team, really happy to see the possibilities and technology updates are being used to make the user experience to its highest levels. Although a little disappointed that there is no app for apple tv or google chrome-cast. This kind of apps will eliminate the prominence of cable tv operators, thus Safari TV will be available to everyone by spending a minimal cost. Hope you guys will consider this.

Casting to chrome cast is possible from our Android version of the app and for iOS you can mirror your screen from your control center to play on your Apple TV. We haven’t implemented AirPlay inside our player. But my mirroring works on iPhone and Apple TV.
On Android without mirroring you can do the cast so you can use the other apps while playing safari on TV.

Loading problem
There is some issue with the old episodes, its not loading for long time
I don’t know if am only facing this problem, but its been few days like this
Kindly consider this . Huge fan of sancharam and am a medical student and usually i don't get time watch live episode.
So please consider this request
Simplicity at its best
The app itself opens to the live tv without the hassles of signing up and registration processes, which I loved the most.
To add, a regular viewer can easily navigate to the missed episodes.
It would be great if you can add the video quality control buttons so that we can adjust as per the connectivity and the screen sizes.

Happy to hear that you liked our new application. Currently we support to change the video quality for old episodes but not for live TV. But definitely this is something we have plans to optimise in future.
