Everything is better together, so BariBuddy's focus is: Together we are strong! In the app, you’ll hear from others who’ve had WLS and been through similar ups and downs, so you will never be alone. Examples of features in the app: - Information about your bariatric surgery. - Recipes developed by dieticians tailored to your needs after WLS. - FAQ’s answered by doctors, dieticians, nurses, and psychologists. - Motivational tools such as the vitamin journey to make it fun and easy to take and register your vitamins every day. - Join motivating walking and vitamin challenges together with others! - Weight and body measurement trackers with graphs. - Eating timer to keep track of your eating speed. - A notification board with news, events, and other information related to life after bariatric surgery. HealthKit: Baribuddy is connected to HealthKit to provide you with a better understanding of your general health by collecting and presenting your step counter data within the app. This data may (in the future) be accessed by your doctor on a need to know basis upon your consent.

Mainly good but...

Many impressive features such as a thorough meal etc. diary. Meal timer often stops and disappears/resets if leaving the app, rendering the timer unusable. I would like more granular control over the notifications. I do not need to be reminded to call the clinic if feeling unwell for example. There are spelling errors all over, mostly in the recipes and FAQ.

You can’t use the app without purchasing subscription

Don’t get this app. In order to access any part of the app, you must have a subscription. They do not offer a free trial, for good reason. There’s nothing valuable. All of the information provided is available for free in various locations and most of it, if not all, should be covered by your surgeon and nutritionists. There’s a better, free app called Baritastic that does even more than what this app does. That app has downfalls as well, but certainly adds much more value.

Love the idea and concept, but having a difficult time navigating the app. I am unable to switch the weight unit to lbs from kg and unable to switch the height from cm to inches. Really frustrating. Will keep an eye to see if the app updates in that direction. If I used cm or kg I’d probably really like this app.

I know the rest of the world uses Metric and the US is far behind, however, that’s what I know. There’s no option to change to pounds and feet instead of kilograms and centimeters.
