• Sun path. The sun's track arcs over the map — amber where your spot holds sun, blue-grey where a building blocks it. The beads are hours; the big one is the time you're scrubbed to. • Shade timeline. Tap a spot and see when it holds direct sun and when it goes into shade, read off the real buildings and terrain around it. • Sun times. Sunrise, solar noon, sunset, golden hour morning and evening, civil dusk and the length of the day. • Snapshots are now a letter-size page. Same on every device, with a header carrying the location, date, time, sun position, sunrise and sunset, your rig, and the lifts that actually reach the distance you measured. • Saved places. Name a location and come back to it with its camera angle, date, time, every frame, the measurement and the shade point still in place. Long-press a row to rename it. • Measuring and the shade view work at the same time now. • On iPad you can drag the menu panels into whatever order you work in, and it's remembered. • A tidier menu: the panels sit in a more sensible order, the map buttons are clear of the map's own controls on iPad, and the phone no longer carries a second copy of the time slider. • Feet or metres, everywhere, with one switch. Gear names stay as they are on the truck. • The app carries its map engine and fonts inside it, so it opens faster and a hiccup at someone else's server can't leave you staring at a blank screen. • Fixed: picking a date from the picker didn't move the sun. • Fixed: the locate button went to whatever you were looking at instead of where you are. • Fixed: buttons stayed lit after you tapped them.

• New Controls card. It opens the first time you launch the app, and any time after that from the ? button on the dock. It leads with the one gesture nobody guesses on their own: long-press an overhead to move it. A quick drag pans the map instead, so a big frame never blocks your view. • The menu no longer has the map buttons floating on top of it. • Clearer wording throughout the Controls card.

Everything in this build came out of using it on real scouts. PLACING AND MOVING • Overheads now drop wherever you've panned to — no need to re-enter an address first • The sun recalculates for the location you're actually looking at, so the shadows are right after you move across town • Place as many overheads as the day needs. Each one is colour-coded with its own cast shadow and square footage • Long-press an overhead to grab and move it. A quick drag pans the map, so a big frame no longer blocks the view • Added a car proxy alongside the human stand-in MEASURING • A measurement taken on a frame stays locked to it — raise or move the frame and the number follows instead of going stale • Measurements now stay on screen when you leave measure mode, so you can reposition things while watching the distance • The measure tool moved to the button in the top right SHARING • Snapshot export now works on iPhone. It sends a full-resolution PNG straight to the share sheet for Photos, Files or Messages IPAD • The app header and the map controls no longer sit underneath the status bar • Undo and redo are now on screen EVERYWHERE • Swipe up on the dock to open the menu • Much better battery life and less heat — the map no longer redraws when nothing on screen is moving • Undo and redo no longer lose steps after a pinch or a zoom • The colour beside each object in the scene list now matches the frame on the map • Pinching to zoom no longer deselects what you were working on • Cleaned up the launch screen
