Hello, Very sorry that you're disappointed. Here are some explanations. The “old” app has indeed been replaced by the new one for new users but will continue to be maintained for people who bought it in the past. For more details, please look at our blog posts from December 13th, 2023, and October 29th, 2024, here: https://mynoise.net/blog.php. These posts provide the full context behind the release of the new app. We chose not to release the new app as an update to the old one because this would have caused all previous users to lose their multigens without any way to recover them, as this feature is not supported in the new app. Additionally, users would have needed to redownload all their soundscapes and recreate their presets. With auto-updates enabled, this would have impacted many users who rely on myNoise for sleep, tinnitus, or anxiety to an extent we couldn’t afford to risk. We also explored offering the new app for free to previous users, but unfortunately, Apple doesn’t allow such an option. So yes, unfortunately, the only way to upgrade to the new app is to pay again (we don't work with subscriptions but only with affordable one-time purchases so to be fair, it's not extremely expensive when you consider how much you would have paid paying a subscription). To avoid forcing former users to repurchase the app, the "old" app will remain available to them (even if they delete it and want to redownload it). All new soundscapes will continue to be released there as well. You should always always be able to download and use the old app again by following these steps: 1. Open the App Store. 2. Click on your profile (top right corner). 3. Go into « Apps ». 4. Go into « My Apps ». 5. Select « Not on this phone ». 6. The old myNoise should appear in the list. In this update we:
• Introduced a first iteration of the Creation Mode. You can now combine up to 10 sounds from all soundscapes to create your own soundscape.
• Restored volume levels to their state before the last wave of updates.
• Attempted to fix a bug where the app would stop during long listening sessions.
• Sliding two fingers instead of one should now preserve the relative levels of individual sounds.
