I’ve been using Goodnotes for years, and this app does everything Goodnotes does for me with a much better user interface, intuitive note-taking flow, tool set customization, and instant iCloud backups (both on iPhone and works perfectly on Mac as well with the iPad version of the app). Here are some details the app can fix to make the user experience even better: 1. Working with pdfs and other objects- Whiteboard: enable the import pdf option which is already available for quick notes and notebooks. You just need to have something that turns the pdf into a batch of images - it does not need to stay as a pdf. It would be even better if we can just copy paste pdfs as images into current notes/whiteboard. - Object selection: now we have to first click the image/sticker/tape tool to select the respective objects in order to perform actions on them (delete/copy/paste/crop, etc.), and it would be much easier if we can do the above by clicking on the object regardless of the current tool in use. It would also be great to be able to directly delete elements with the backspace key when using a keyboard. 2. Haptics with the Apple Pencil for snapping into straight lines and shapes (for pens & highlighters)… which would make it so much easier to take clean notes when writing/highlighting quickly, a priority this app already handles so well with pressure-sensitive erasing + real-time handwriting beautification (truly astounding!!)3. Preset notebook covers- can have the colours customizable. I like to keep my covers simple, just colour-coded; a highly customizable but simple built-in selection of notebook covers can add to the brand value of the app. - the ability to modify notebook covers (change colours, etc.) after they have been created. 4. Margin extension- could be applied to all four corners (now it’s only extending horizontally). I am absolutely in love with the following features (besides those already mentioned):- two-page and split display: you can select a document to open on a side panel, while working on your current document. All your open documents are neatly shown in the tabs, and you can choose which documents to see in the two-page display. - highly customizable toolbar and pen sets (which allows you to freely select the pens you frequently use (with varying colours, types, etc.). The technical pen is also an amazing addition for those who use both highlighters and underlines to annotate. - user add/export audio and video feature
