StepCap turns your neighborhood into a game. Open the app, discover real businesses and landmarks around you, walk to them, and verify your visit to earn XP and unlock collectible rewards. It is the simplest way to get moving, explore your city, and have fun doing it.
DISCOVER WHAT IS AROUND YOU
StepCap automatically populates your map with real points of interest nearby -- cafes, parks, shops, museums, and more. Every location is a "drop" waiting to be claimed. No setup required. Just open the map and start walking.
VERIFY YOUR VISIT
When you arrive at a drop location, verify you are actually there. StepCap supports three verification methods:
- GPS -- the app confirms your coordinates match the location
- QR Code -- scan a code posted at participating venues
- NFC -- tap an NFC tag at the location
Each successful verification earns you XP and unlocks a unique reward tied to that location.
COLLECT AND LEVEL UP
Every drop has a collectible reward with one of four rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary. Build your collection wallet, track your progress, and watch your level climb. The XP system rewards consistent exploration -- the more places you visit, the faster you level up.
COMPLETE MISSIONS
Missions chain multiple drops into themed routes. Complete a Coffee Crawl through local cafes, follow a Culture Walk past landmarks, or take on a full Explorer challenge across your area. Missions award bonus XP on completion and give you a reason to venture beyond your usual paths.
COMPETE WITH FRIENDS
Add friends using unique share codes, compare XP on the leaderboard, and see who is exploring the most. StepCap is fun solo, but it is even better when you are racing your friends to the top.
BUILT FOR PRIVACY
StepCap does not require an account, login, or personal information. Your data stays on your device. Location is used only to verify visits and is never shared with third parties. You are in control.
