Thread routers promote and demote themselves, devices sleep and wake, links strengthen and fade — and when something says "No Response," most apps just show you a list. Threadlytics is the instrument: it reads the diagnostics your Matter and Thread devices already publish and turns them into grades, maps, and answers. It complements the Home app; it does not replace it.
WHAT IT MEASURES • Mesh health, graded — border-router coverage, routing depth, link quality, and partition state resolved into plain-language grades instead of raw counters. • Per-device health scores — stability, reachability, and CSA certification, each with the evidence behind it. • Topology you can walk — an interactive network map in 2D and 3D, a hierarchy tree, the fabrics your devices belong to, and the full protocol path for any single device. • Weak links — which device drops frames to which neighbor, and at what signal strength, so you know what to move. • Border routers as first-class devices — your HomePods, Apple TVs, and hubs appear with their Thread role, so you can see who is actually carrying your mesh.
ONE DEVICE, ONE IDENTITY The same physical device shows up under a different name in every app you own. Threadlytics matches records across Apple Home, Matter, Home Assistant, and SmartThings using stable hardware identifiers — never name guessing — so your device list shows your devices, not your ecosystems' copies of them. Anything it cannot match with confidence stays separate, and the app says so.
ASK ABOUT YOUR OWN HOUSE The built-in assistant runs on your device and answers only from your latest scan — not from the internet, and not from a guess about smart homes in general. When an answer uses your home data it says so, and it names the devices it drew on. (Requires an iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence.)
SIRI & SHORTCUTS "What needs attention in Threadlytics?" Ask Siri for your home health score, the devices needing attention, or what changed since your last scan — without opening the app. In the Shortcuts app, your devices are first-class objects with score, grade, reachability, and transport.
PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE No account. No sign-up. Analysis happens on your device and your data stays there. Apple Home, Thread, and Matter work entirely locally; Home Assistant and SmartThings are opt-in enhancements you can ignore forever. Local-only mode is a first-class mode, not a setting buried three screens deep. Exports are yours: CSV, JSON, and Markdown, with an Anonymize switch for sharing.
THREADLYTICS PREMIUM (optional subscription) The free app is complete: scanning, grades, maps, correlation, the assistant, and data exports. Premium adds Home History — score trends, saved snapshots, and a "what changed" feed beyond the free 7-day window — plus network exports (the map as an image, the Tree and Fabrics pages as reports) and priority support. First month free; cancel anytime in your App Store settings.
