SAYS ONLY WHAT IT CAN SHOW A device is on Thread when it says so, in its own Matter diagnostics or its HomeKit Thread status, never because of its brand. Bulbs behind a Hue Bridge or a DIRIGERA are listed behind it, and every accessory that has not said is kept apart from your Thread devices. A border router is one the network proves. The map draws only links your devices report. A device's page shows how fast it answered, in milliseconds, never a signal the iPhone cannot measure. Coverage walks, heatmaps, room signal grades, Anomaly Pattern Recognition, Find That Sensor, Where To Add A Router, Walk Left In The Room and Signal Decline Alerts are withdrawn until a real radio reading exists, and so are the Shortcuts action that read a device's signal and the count of weak devices. QUIET IS NOT OFFLINE A sleepy battery sensor gets two hours before it is called offline, a mains-powered device fifteen minutes, and devices that go quiet in the same minute are one event, not a dozen red rows. WHAT EACH DEVICE REPORTS ABOUT ITSELF Open any device: low-battery and fault flags, charging, serial and hardware revision, power draw where the accessory reports it, and every value it exposes through Apple Home, the writable ones changeable. Battery levels are read directly again on iOS 27. ONE PUSH FOR A GROUP OUTAGE, NOT THIRTEEN When several devices behind one hub stop answering together you get one notification and one finding naming the bridge, not one card per lamp telling you to power-cycle something that never lost power. One more push when they come back. EVERYTHING HERE One inventory across Apple Home, Thread, Matter, Philips Hue, Xiaomi, Google and Home Assistant, each device counted once. It says that a device is present and which system speaks for it, never what it can do. FIVE DEMO HOMES The Demo Network is five homes now, in nine languages, and it stays inside the app: no real notification, scene or history ever comes from it. TRAINING AND THE DOCUMENT A CUSTOMER KEEPS (PRO) Cases an installer can practise on, marked by the app's own engines. The move-out document now carries the app's signature, made with a key generated on your phone. Nothing is uploaded. FIRST SEEN ON YOUR NETWORK A notification when a device appears on your network for the first time. It says first seen, never intruder. SPOTLIGHT, SIRI, WIDGETS Devices and rooms in Home Screen search. "What should I fix first" answers, and "Show me what to fix" opens the app on it. Widgets no longer overflow at the largest text sizes. THE SAME TRUTH EVERYWHERE The counts beside the grade, the Lock Screen, the Watch, the Doctor and the room cards all read the same set of devices. FIXED Spotlight listed every device twice. The Watch buzzed at every launch, not once per outage. Live Activities left behind on the Lock Screen. Every push, alert and label in all nine languages.

FIFTEEN WRITTEN SCREENS NOW WORK ON EVERY IPHONE The mesh summary, the action plan, root cause, the weekly coach, the commissioning briefing and ten more used to need Apple Intelligence, which meant they were blank on most iPhones. They are written from your own readings now, on the device, on every iPhone ThreadMapper supports. Where Apple Intelligence does run it still writes them, and the "AI" badge appears only when it did. The assistant chat and five other screens still need it; the paywall says which. A SIMPLER DASHBOARD The numbers that matter, first. A setup coach for a home still being built. And one line a week for everyone — what moved and why — not only for Pro. HAND THE CUSTOMER A STICKER (PRO) Dashboard › Share › Hand-off QR Code puts this network's last inspection — grade, counts, rooms, the top findings, the last job's verdict — into a single QR code, signed with your phone's key. Whoever scans it sees the page with nothing to install and no account. The page says "Unverified" when the signature is missing or does not match. FIELD — THE INSTALLER TIER, ITS FIRST TWO FEATURES Branded reports: your firm's name, colour and logo on every job report, on the PDF and on a self-contained web page with the mesh map drawn in. Scheduled reports dropped into a ThreadMapper › Reports folder in Files. Field is not on sale yet, and the paywall says so plainly. A PASS OR FAIL ON THE JOB REPORT Your own definition of finished — grade at least B, nothing offline, every room averaging −80 dBm or better, a border router advertising — checked against the closing reading and printed line by line with the number that decided each one. AN INSTALLER HAS A DOOR "I'm Visiting a Network" on first launch and in the Dashboard's start state. It turns on local-network browsing, asks Apple Home for nothing, and lands on the Mesh tab. PRIVACY AND SECURITY The Philips Hue application key no longer travels in clear when HTTPS fails for a moment, and pairing goes over a pinned connection first. The border router and Hue screens now say plainly when a connection is not encrypted. A visited network's survey walks stay on the phone that took them — out of iCloud and out of backups — and go when the visit is discarded. Names, addresses and home identifiers are kept out of the system log. A scanned hand-off code is bounded before it is read. FIXED Day keys are Gregorian on every calendar; a phone set to the Japanese calendar showed every trend empty. Every notification now lands somewhere when tapped. Apple Home is not asked for access on the start screen. Ask to Buy is a state, not a dead button. The Diagnose tab names its raw-data screens as such. The Watch gets the latest reading whenever it can take it. HONEST ABOUT ITS NUMBERS The written summaries are arithmetic over readings already on your device, not a model's opinion. Signal is still labelled Estimated unless an OpenThread Border Router or a probe supplies measured data. A hand-off page shows what was true at the moment it was made, and says so.

EVERY BATTERY IN ONE LIST The app has always read the battery level off each accessory. Now there is one screen for all of them, emptiest first, with the room. Free — the level is what the device reports about itself, and the app is only collecting it in one place. BETTER THAN YESTERDAY? A line under the grade says whether today is up or down on yesterday, and which scoring rule moved it. It waits until there is enough of today to compare, and says "so far today" rather than pretending a morning is a whole day. The Maintenance Calendar now works on every iPhone ThreadMapper supports. It used to need Apple Intelligence, which meant it was blank on most of them; it is arithmetic now, over readings already on your device. PRO — FIND IT, PLACE IT, KEEP IT Find that sensor you cannot find. Walk around and the phone times how fast the accessory answers from where you are standing, buzzing faster as you close in — so the leak sensor behind the washing machine can be found without looking at the screen. It works from your wrist too, with the iPhone in a pocket. Where to add a router. Every other screen stops at the diagnosis; this ranks the places you actually walked during a coverage survey by how much a router put there would lift the weak ones. Measured rather than modelled, so the walls and the foil insulation are already in the numbers — and it says plainly when nowhere would help. Your year on one card: best day, worst day, the rule that cost the most, the batteries you got through, and how many times the mesh quietly repaired itself while you were not looking. Your mesh as a film. Three weeks of stored snapshots played as twenty seconds of video, rendered to a file you can actually send to someone. Your mesh as a poster, an A2 PDF a print shop will take. Your survey walk drawn on the floor in AR, a coloured ribbon down the hallway you can walk back through. Export every health sample, daily grade and battery reading as CSV or JSON — the rows themselves, not a report about them — and import them back on a new iPhone. A month's notice, then a week's, on the sensor about to go flat, and the soonest-dying battery on the widget and the Watch. FIXED The offline grace period now decides when a device counts as offline, not just when you are told about it. A sleepy battery sensor that missed one poll used to turn the whole app red for a moment, whatever the setting said. It now shows as not answering until the period has actually passed. Fifteen and thirty minute options added. HONEST ABOUT ITS NUMBERS The hunt compares against your own walk, not a distance — a sleepy sensor answers slowly wherever you stand. The film shows each device's state, not the routing between them. Nothing in the year card is scaled up to cover days the app was not watching. Importing a record replaces this iPhone's rather than merging two, because two phones measure the same home from different places. Signal is still labelled Estimated unless an OpenThread Border Router or a probe supplies measured data.

WHY THE GRADE IS WHAT IT IS ThreadMapper has always given your network a letter. Now it shows the working. Every network starts at 100, and the Dashboard lists each rule that fired, what it cost, and how many devices it affected — including when a rule hit its cap, and what the number would have been without one. The widget, the Apple Watch complication and Siri now give the reason beside the grade instead of the letter on its own. The Health Calendar can tell a repair from a disappearance. A day where a rule stopped firing is marked as fixed, rather than only as a better score. PRO — WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT What would fix this, ranked by the points it wins back rather than by how alarming it looks. Which fault is getting worse, from readings already on your device — averaged per reading, so a long day cannot outweigh a short one, and days with nothing recorded are skipped rather than counted as good ones. What your fixes were worth: the average score before each repair against the average since. The day of the repair belongs to neither side, because it holds readings from both. Which battery dies next, fitted from the rate each cell has actually been falling. Batteries that are holding steady get no date at all, and readings from before a battery was changed are discarded. What changed between two visits to the same network — cleared, appeared, or still open. An alert when a rule starts firing, not only when the letter drops. The grade, and the arithmetic behind it, on the job report and the installer pack. FIXED A second Apple Home could be selected and then left unreachable, with no way back without Pro. Standing in one home no longer shows another home's Thread network in the mesh bar. HONEST ABOUT ITS NUMBERS A battery estimate is a fit to readings this app took, not a manufacturer's figure. Cells sit on a plateau and then drop away, so the ordering is firmer than the dates, and the app says so where it shows them. Signal is still labelled Estimated unless an OpenThread Border Router or a probe supplies measured data.

1.5 is the release where the app started reporting on itself, and started answering to things outside it. APP HEALTH iOS hands an app its own crash, hang and launch-time reports about once a day. ThreadMapper now keeps them, shows them, and lets you send them on — no SDK, no account, and nothing transmitted by the app itself. A performance report reads as numbers rather than a date: half of launches under 400 ms, the worst hang, peak memory. It also counts the times iOS ended the app for crossing a resource limit, which appears in no crash log at all — the failure you noticed and the app did not. The screen opens by comparing this build with the one before it on your own iPhone. Pro keeps ninety reports instead of fourteen, which is the difference between "is this build worse than the last" and "it got slower somewhere, when?". SIRI AND SHORTCUTS Siri can be asked about one device or one room — "is the kitchen sensor online?" — answered from the last scan, with the app closed and without Apple Intelligence. Pro adds the same facts as values a shortcut can test: true or false, a signal figure, the network's score, how many devices are offline in a room. What the automation does with them is yours to decide. EVERY DEVICE IN A ROOM An accessory nobody has placed is filed by HomeKit under the whole home, and its name is your home's name — so room grades, coverage advice and the mesh map's room zones were all skipping devices while the app drew a room card named after your house. It can tell the two apart now, and says on the device's own screen what the absence costs. Pro moves it into a real room, written into Apple Home rather than kept here. FOR INSTALLERS Every network you have visited on one screen, worst first, each grade dated to the visit it came from — plus the faults standing at more than one of them, which is usually a firmware batch or a building rather than a customer. A network with no reading is listed apart, never ranked as healthy. Pro. ELSEWHERE ON THE MAP Tapping an empty spot inside a room now says which room it is, the nearest router, and how many hops a device there would sit at — counted the way the map counts. A border router's partition and dataset timestamp are on its screen, or it says plainly that the router advertises neither. HUBS Local Network lists every hub on your network by its own record — its model, and whether it is in Apple Home yet. A hub not yet in Apple Home is raised as a finding, with the one step that fixes it: until it is added, no app on your iPhone can see the devices behind it. WITH PRO, iOS 26 AND APPLE INTELLIGENCE A device that joins still wearing its factory name suggests a better one, and one tap renames it in Apple Home. The weekly report carries a paragraph on what actually changed, not only a headline. And the spot you tapped on the map gets a sentence explaining it. NO INSTALL NEEDED An App Clip lets you try the app before you install it. Open a link and ThreadMapper grades a simulated home with the same engine it would use on yours — twelve devices, two border routers, one offline, one on a failing battery, two too far from a router. Every number in it is simulated, and it says so before it says anything else. Free. FIXED The Dashboard's "Last 24h" chart was drawing thirty days. The Channel Scanner reuses a recent scan instead of sweeping sixteen channels every time. Rooms, groups and custom names survive a restore to a new iPhone. The Hue bridge key moved out of your backups and into the keychain. ---

1.4 is for the network you are standing in, whether or not it is yours. VISITED NETWORKS A Thread network you are not a member of — a customer's, a friend's — can now be diagnosed on its own terms. One tap starts a visit, a banner says whose network is on screen for as long as it lasts, and everything recorded is kept apart from your own home's and from every other network you have visited. Walk back in next month and its readings are still there. One network free; Pro keeps as many as you visit. THE DOCTOR NO LONGER NEEDS APPLE HOME It used to return nothing at all unless Apple Home listed accessories, which left anyone with Thread hardware and no HomeKit looking at an empty screen however broken their network was. It now reports from what is actually on the link, and says plainly which checks it could not run rather than reporting them healthy. THREE FAULTS IT CAN NAME NOW Border routers that have split into separate meshes and cannot pass traffic to one another, while every device still answers the Home app. A border router left on an older set of network settings after it missed a change. A network that keeps re-addressing itself, which is what a router that forgets its settings on reboot looks like from the outside. All three are read from records the app was already collecting. DEVICES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES A device that reports its own connection is believed over a guess made from its brand name. Boxes the app cannot name can be named by you, and the name sticks. A Matter device is drawn while it is actually there, not because it once was. And any device can be asked what it counts about its own radio — some keep tallies, most do not, and the app says which rather than assuming. FIXED Thread channels 16, 21 and 14 were reported as a lower interference risk than they are; each sits 7 MHz from the centre of a Wi-Fi channel most homes use. In the Network Doctor and Diagnostics, some advice rendered in English whatever language the phone was set to — and outside English the same offline device was reported twice. Signal history from one home could average into another home's trend. Labels on the mesh map landed on top of one another. Border routers that publish no name were all captioned "Border router".

1.3 is the largest release since launch. GUIDED FLOWS Five paths that walk one question to its answer — something isn't working, improve coverage in a room, add a new device, merge my Thread networks, and a three-minute tour on a simulated home. Diagnose is regrouped by what you came to do. THE MAP SHOWS EVERY BOX NOW The mesh map is built from digital twins rather than from HomeKit's accessory list, so border routers HomeKit never lists — Apple TVs, HomePods — finally appear on it. One entity per physical box, merged only on identity a device actually published, and a reading that is old says how old. AR AND FLOOR PLANS Scan your rooms with LiDAR into one plan per storey, or trace them on foot on any iPhone. Walk the signal so readings land on the plan themselves. Then the AR X-Ray draws the mesh through your real home, with distances measured rather than estimated. Your scan travels in your own iCloud. PRO GOES DEEPER Pro now reads the Matter diagnostics the app was already connected to but never asked for: why a device rebooted, how often it has changed parent router, how often a battery device wakes to listen, and how many apps and households can still control it. A month of recordings answers when your home is at its worst. Installers get a job report with a before and an after — including anything that stopped working — and a one-page evidence sheet per device for a warranty claim. FIXED The HomeKit scene trigger fired only while the app was open, which is not when a mesh degrades. Some counts and labels rendered untranslated for VoiceOver and Siri. Swedish plurals disagreed with their numbers. And the purchase screen listed several things every free user already had — those claims are gone, and the app now checks that each promise has something behind it.
