Smiðja — Your Motorcycle's Service Book Everything you have done to your bike, kept in your pocket instead of a shoebox. Smiðja is a garage log for motorcyclists: service history, parts wear, fuel and the Nordic winter — with no account, no cloud, no ads and no subscription. Your first bike is free; a key, bought once, opens the garage for more. Smiðja is Icelandic for "the forge" — the garage-side sister to Vegvísir, our motorcycle road companion. THE GARAGE Add your bikes — make, model, year and odometer. Each one keeps its own book. SERVICE LOG Log what was done, when, at what odometer reading and what it cost — oil, chain, tires, brakes, battery, inspection or anything else. Attach receipt photos from the camera or your gallery, so the workshop invoice lives with the job it paid for. Photos stay on your phone, and travel in your backup. INTERVALS THAT KEEP WATCH Set an interval by distance, by time, or both — whichever comes first counts. Every interval is shown, not just the next one due: OK, Soon or Overdue, with the exact distance or days left. Fuel fill-ups raise the odometer, so the countdown corrects itself as you ride. PARTS & WEAR Fit a chain, sprockets, tires, brake pads or a battery, give it an expected life in kilometers or months, and watch the wear bar fill. Fitting a new part of the same kind retires the old one automatically — the history stays honest without any bookkeeping. FUEL LOG Log fill-ups with liters, cost and odometer. Consumption is worked out between full tanks, so a splash marked as partial never skews the average. Fill-ups, total liters and average L/100 km at a glance. WINTER STORAGE — FOR THE NORDIC SEASON Put her away properly, and spring starts with a turn of the key. The storage checklist covers the battery tender, fuel stabilizer, wash and wax, tires off the ground or pressure raised, and the insurance switched to storage. In spring the wake-up checklist walks you back out — battery in, tire pressure, chain, brakes and fluids, insurance back on. Smiðja counts the days off the road. PDF SERVICE HISTORY Generate a clean service history for any bike: every job, every cost, the total spent, and the parts currently fitted. Share it or save it. When you sell her, the buyer gets proof instead of promises. BACKUP THAT MERGES — IT NEVER OVERWRITES This is the part garage apps get wrong — it is why riders lose years of history changing phones. Your backup is a single file, handed to you through the share sheet — keep it in your own cloud drive, in an email to yourself, wherever you like. It never passes through us. Restoring merges: new records are added, newer versions win, and nothing is ever deleted. Safe to run on a phone that already has data. REMINDERS Two season reminders a year on the dates you pick — one when it is time to put her away, one when spring comes — plus a nudge when a time-based interval falls due. Scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it. FIVE LANGUAGES English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Icelandic — Smiðja follows your phone's language, or the one you pick in Settings. Icelandic is, as far as we know, a first for a motorcycle garage log. NO ADS. NO TRACKING.
