How does First Table work?
Participating restaurants list their first tables for breakfast, lunch or dinner on First Table – showing seven days of availability on our platform.
Diners are then rewarded with 50% off the food bill for dining at an off-peak time.
To secure 50% off the food bill, select your city and search through the available restaurants near you. Then select your date and time and book a First Table (booking fee applies) for two, three or four people.

Restaurants choose to join at their own discretion, to help fill empty tables and to create a buzz early into their service. That means that while you’re tucking into a half-price brunch or boujee-on-a-budget dinner, you’re also doing them a favour.

I was told about this app from a friend and thought there must be a catch. No catch just great food and at 50% off all food makes it affordable for us to take the family out for tea once a fortnight. We took the kids to biggies last week and it ended up costing less than when we would buy takeaway pizza but the food was amazing. Definitely better quality. I am currently at the end of my pregnancy and any night I don’t have to cook is a win for me. The app was easy to use. I had accidentally booked for the wrong night when I didn’t have the kids and got a full refund after someone else booked in for that same day and time which made it all hassle free

We are encouraged to try somewhere new and use the opportunity to order something different from our norm! First Table makes it easy to eat out, we found it fabulous for starting ‘date night’ discussions early in the day and enjoyed the process of choosing where to go, booking, getting ready, & heading out early so after a fabulous evening we were home early enough to enjoy another drink before retiring at our normal time! I have used the First Table App now for about one year and never cease to be amazed by the variety and quality of the restaurant's that are to be found on here. Nearly every week there are new restaurants added and for nearly all major locations, even suburbs of the big cities are on there. Several restaurants are also doing last table on this App, which is an added bonus if you can’t get a early table due to commitments etc.I have used this app in Queenstown at a 5 Star restaurant and only had to purchase one beverage per person to be eligible for the 50% off of all food, which was possibly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I took my granddaughter with me for a treat while we were on holiday and it was superb. I mainly use it in Wellington, but will definitely use it on my next trips to Auckland and Christchurch.I believeI must have saved hundreds, possibly even a thousand dollars this year alone, by using the App and I cannot recommend it highly enough!!Susan Campbell

My husband and I have been using First Table ever since it started in Christchurch. It is such a wonderful way to try a variety of restaurants and yet get the meals at incredible prices. Usually the cost of our drinks costs more than the meals, as we do like a nice wine or cocktail. We are very grateful it’s there and have celebrated many birthdays, farewell’s and special events using First Table. I do think the Booking Fees are a bit expensive now…. paying $15 booking fee for more expensive restaurants is a lot, however the food is usually great….and that’s what we go for. So Thankyou first table team!!
