Great app
A couple of suggestions, would love it if you can change goals names such as working out so that you can have different names. For example one day walk another run, at the moment it updates it for all. Also if you can change the size of goals to make them the same size as everything else :)
Also if the date changes each day on the app, like the Apple calendar does; and if you added year view as well as day month and week that would be great
Slower to use than Apple Cal
Why I reverted to Apple calendar.
I use the Google Calendar on my PC and have a quite a few set up for different groups and tasks. So I thought the app would be perfect for my iPhone.
I prefer its brighter colours (not interested in the schedule or pretty images though) and the options for views.
But there’s a major pain point with the Google calendar iOS app and that’s the lack of shortcuts to do typical tasks such as deleting an event or changing its finish time or duration.
In the Apple calendar, deleting an event is as simple as opening it and hitting delete. In the Google calendar you have to open it, then go to settings then delete it.
Revising events in the Google app is even more clunky. To change the start or finish time while leaving the other as is- lengthening or shortening and event- in Apple calendar, it’s as simple as highlighting the event and then dragging the start or finish time handles to where you want them. There is no equivalent operation with Google, once again you have to open the app and then go to individual time settings and change these.
Much as I love and prefer the look of the Google calendar all these extra clicks are a dealbreaker for me when I just want to quickly deal with an event. Once they’re available I’ll be back to it but for now I’m sticking with Apple.

I love my google calendar. Like, to an unhealthy level. It organises my life so perfectly.
Two requests pretty please:
- When adding an attachment to an appointment, it would be amazing to have the ability to quick add photos from camera roll
- More colours for customisation! I’ve run out!!
