Kia ora! NZ On Air and Gamefroot have created HEIHEI Games - a safe online space for our tamariki to play quality, age-appropriate games.
HEIHEI delivers amazing kids games for free and without any adverts or in app purchases. We believe that children should have access to media which entertains, educates and stimulates them and which allows them to develop to their fullest potential.

Version 1.0.4-1
This current updated version of the HEIHEI app has been rebuilt to run faster and to make finding games easier.
We have added links to child friendly TVNZ on demand website that includes the TV shows for the games. A parental gate is in place before linking out to TVNZ OnDemand.

Looks amazing but needs TV Support to use it!
This app looks amazing, but we won’t use it since I’m not giving our young kids expensive iPads or iPhones to use! I need an Apple TV or LG WebStore App. Come on developers, mum and dad need to be in control of what the kids watch.
Where young kids are concerned it’s not appropriate to leave them with an expensive device in their hands.

My daughter is absolutely LOVING all these educational, fun and informative local programs. Well done TVNZ for creating a space where Parents can feel good about screen time. Favourites for my three year old daughter are Tamariki Ha, Siouxsie and Eve, Kai Five and Darwin and Newt. Just fantastic, thanks so much for supporting local content to be made and making it encompass all ages and diversities. Only bug I have is that you can’t stream to a tv! Hoping it will come in time. Cheers!

Great App but not on Apple TV 😏
Fantastic app for kids and can control what they’re watching
Unfortunately can’t load it onto Apple TV so isn’t getting a lot of use as wont leave my children with phones. Pls can developers work at getting it onto Apple TV
