Overall, I’ve found the CNN app okay to use. It shows the popular news items. But it seems harder to find the latest news. And the International news seems quite dated at times. (Does seem to update very often - sometimes news is days old)
iOS and iPadOS widgets don’t work anymore…
TheJustinator
I have insured I am on the most recent version of the CNN app and the widget on my iPad and also on my iPhone does not work and just shows grey lines instead of the headlines. My other news apps still show headlines, so it is unlikely to be my end. I have deleted and then re-downloaded the app multiple times…I opened up the App Store and pressed the App Support button, which opened my web browser, with NO app support, just ‘Uh-oh! It could be you, or it could be us, but there's no page here.’ so i guess you don’t want to hear about errors with the app, or help…
WAS catastrophic
mwgnz
This app has gone from being my go-to app for world news, to the app now bottom-most of the pile. Recent updates mean the slightest touch to the screen now sends the app skittering from one news item to another. It’s currently a waste of space on the iPhone - and for the user, a waste of time. UPDATE: Come home - all is forgiven. The latest iOS 13.2 update seems to have solved the problem and returned the app to full functionality. But the question remains - how did the CNN app developers not spot the original problem? Were they not engaged with the 13.1 beta? And if not, why not?
The most interesting channel
Ammy Gogo
CNN is a most interesting channel, very informative, on a whole variety of subjects, covering the whole world. And most important of all very honest and reliable, especially in these bad times, Cover 20 and all the international unrest. Thank you hope this helps. Ammy
Update the app today to get the latest latest improvements based on your feedback. Plus, now, you can stream the news, including 24/7 global news, exclusive videos, original series, and award-winning films.
