The infection has begun and it’s up to you to strategically spread and evolve a deadly plague to bring about the end of the human race. Saving the world and being a hero is honourable, but decimating the world with a deadly infection is a whole lot of fun — even though it shouldn’t be.

This game has it all… strategy, humor, real world usable data and just enough tension to be challenging. I bought this back in 2012 and it has stayed on my iPad since, long after other games have been removed and replaced. Fun but simple graphics so it isn’t a storage hog, lots of challenges and levels. Wiping out human (and zombie and vampire) populations should not be this much fun but it is. Killing off the world too dark for you? Change it up and become Santa Clause… yes really! Using real world data for spread and migration of diseases is a data nerd dream come true too. Interface is easy to use and figure out and once you get accustomed to it, you will wonder why others overcomplicate theirs. This is also the best platform for the game. I have tried it on others (PSN, etc) and while they are good too, mobile is the easiest to use. Lastly, the creative team consistently adds extras to this title and updates their data to keep the game fresh and engaging.. Download this one! You won’t be disappointed.

After reading all those other replies, you’ll probably think pay to win is a big element and most of the content is locked behind micro transactions. Hear me out: EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF CONTENT EXCEPT SCENARIO CREATOR IS OBTAINABLE I repeat: YOU CAN STILL UNLOCK 99% OF THE CONTENT BY PLAYING ALONE. (By beating all normal plagues on brutal you unlock the neurax worm which unlocks zombie plague and so on) The game itself is both difficult and easy at the same time, with different difficulties, you get to choose how hard the game is. Not gonna lie, some disease types were pretty tough, and I had to follow a tutorial for it, especially on mega brutal. The game also automatically saves whenever you exit the game, combined with no internet connection needed, it’s a pick up and play instantly on the go type of game. However, without multiplayer, you might have to take breaks from the game to prevent getting bored, but since that’s a highly requested feature, I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw a PVP feature soon. Overall, the content is extremely good for a staggering price of only 99 cents, and basically no other purchases needed from there, an instant favorite, and with more updates coming all the time, this is definitely going to stay on your phone for a long time. So, you heard me, go on and buy it, cause I bet you won’t regret it.

Oh boy. This game.This freaking game.This game is one of my favourites of all time, along with the command and conquer and civilisation franchises. The mechanics are great, the scenarios are amazing, and the best thing is, once you’ve completed all the standard plague types on brutal, you unlock the special ones. These ones add new symptoms, transmissions, and abilities, and provide a twist to the gameplay that is very satisfying to beat. They also come with a new soundtrack each to top it all off, providing a nice change. Even once you’ve double that, there is the cure mode, scenarios, and custom scenarios. These combine to make a game that is very entertaining, and for a long time too. Overall, this game is a must get.When it comes to simulators, plague inc. can’t be beat.
