Hearing aid remote control

Oticon A/S

    • Free

Description

Control your hearing aids discreetly with the touch of a finger

The Oticon ON App provides discreet remote control of your hearing aids, letting you adjust the volume of your hearing aids independently, switch between listening programs, keep an eye on your battery level or even help you find your hearing aids if you lose them.

The Oticon ON App also enables you to:
• Use your device as a remote microphone and get better access to the voice of another speaker in noisy environments
• Access specific programs designed to help you move your attention away from your tinnitus - if enabled by your hearing care professional during the fitting session
• Handle wireless accessories paired with your hearing aids; control multiple TV Adapters, or devices such as Oticon EduMic or ConnectClip which can be used both for streaming and as remote microphones
• Fine-tune the sound when watching a movie or streaming audio using the streaming equalizer, for a personalized listening experience. The streaming equalizer is available for all Oticon Bluetooth hearing aids except Oticon Opn and Oticon Siya.
• Set personal listening goals and follow your daily hearing aid use through HearingFitness™
• Connect to a wide variety of Internet-connected solutions through the Internet of Things

The Oticon ON App is compatible with all Oticon Bluetooth hearing aids. Depending on the hearing aids and the mobile device you are using, you may or may not have access to all features the app offers.

We recommend using the latest version of iOS.

Update not great

This App was awesome and then it was updated. We can’t connect directly into the hearing aids to speak to our son directly. Add that feature back in and it will be great again. Thanks

Developer Response ,

iOS16 update affecting audio streaming

Before iOS16 update on iPhone 13, audio streaming to Oticon OPN 2 BTE PP (with Firmware 2.5.0) was working very well. However, since iOS16 update was installed in iPhone 13, not all audio and audio-visual media is being streamed to Oticon OPN hearing aids. The Oticon ON shows hearing aids are connected but when most music in Apple Music, most videos play or during phone calls, silence. I’m unable to restore iPhone to iOS 15. Oticon ON app needs to be updated urgently to fix the bugs.

Developer Response ,

Dear AngelaMayL, thank you for reaching out. We believe it is an audio routing issue. Please, reach out to our App Support team and they will send you extensive explanations on how to set the audio routing correctly again. The email you need to reach out to is appsupport@oticon.com. Best Regards, Oticon

Stuck on Troubleshooting page

Since purchasing an iPhone 12 the app is stuck on the “Pairing your hearing aid(s)” page. There is no “X” to close the page and return to the Home Screen. I can access “Try without hearing aids” though when exiting demo mode it goes back to the page mentioned above. I have deleted and reinstalled apps many times with no other devices nearby and did a forced reboot on the phone (not just switching it off and on). Very frustrating. Is this a known problem?

Developer Response ,

Dear Gardengirldn,

For your hearing aids to connect with the app, they have to be paired first with your phone. To pair, please follow the instruction provided here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201466.
