Issues with design
The user interface is designed as such that it’s really easy to accidentally make a duplicate order. I ended up having to call the restaurant to cancel the second order. Other problems include: no search function, weird way of billing (you aren’t charged as soon as you hit ‘order’) and it doesn’t give an estimated time when it will be ready. I want to support local but this app needs a lot of work.
Terrible, needs usability testing
Be careful, the order button doesn’t have an ‘are you sure’ type prompt, and if you end up duplicating your order there is no way to cancel it- vendor had to give us a cash refund even though the app hadn’t charged our card yet. Rather than authorising a credit card transaction at time of sale, it deducts payments from credit card but randomly does it each Sunday, and on one occasion had a fault where it said our payment declined and locked us out of using the app (card was fine and the other pending transaction went fine, called the vendor who said he had a lot of declines that night). There’s also nothing pretty about the app, you don’t get much of a description of menu items as they run off the screen and the text doesn’t wrap to the next line. No pictures of what menu items look like, as you’d get with competing apps. Feels very rushed and cobbled together, maybe to take advantage of Covid-19 lockdown and discourage Posboss users from looking elsewhere. Prices also seem to vary from that advertised by the vendors (higher or lower), that may be a vendor issue but something that should be consistent. Overall, won’t be using it again, Will stick to going direct to vendors, or going elsewhere if they don’t offer that option. I’d rate it zero stars but it appears it’s a one star minimum!
Worst food ordering app ever
I tried to update my card details to pay ( as my old card was stolen and the payments no longer come out of) but this app won’t let me. When I tried several times to add a new a card but for some reason I received an email saying that my account has been suspended due to failure to pay. Add to that, I couldn’t even order food on it as it keeps saying that there is an error when I press to complete my order. The businesses who rely on this app for business and orders are probably not getting any orders coming through due to this app being difficult to use and navigate. Fix it please!!!
