Ready to get hooked up with Zap?! Just download the app to get started! Once you download the app you will need to sign in and create a Zap wallet. This is your own secure location to store and receive Zap. Your wallet also has all of your transactions, plus any memos you've made along the way.

The Zap app has ultra secure features built-in to keep all of your precious Zap safe! A personal security pin and thumbprint protects access via your smartphone. A unique set of recovery words lets you restore your Zap wallet should you lose or replace your device. Your recovery words are unique to you. They are provided by the Zap app during wallet creation, and only you will have a copy of them. Treat these words like your passport - keep them somewhere very safe! They are the key to recovering your Zap and you are responsible for them.

Getting started with gifting, receiving, buying, selling, or claiming Zap is simple! Just hit the blue Zap button at the bottom of the screen, then choose what you want to do next from the menu.

Gifting and paying with Zap is super easy! Just hit the ‘Send’ option from the menu, add or scan the recipient’s wallet address/QR code, choose the amount of Zap you’d like to send, check the details are correct, then complete the transaction!

There are two ways you can receive Zap. If you're with the sender you can hit the 'Receive' option from the menu, then enter the amount and create a custom QR code for them to scan. Not with the person who’s Zapping you? All good! Just hit ‘My Wallet’, then copy, paste, and send them your wallet address via a messaging service or email.

You can earn Zap from participating retailers! Hit ‘Scan QR Code’ from the menu, then scan the QR code you’ve been given, or your retailers will send you a link via email or SMS for you to claim your reward!

Don’t forget to check the Zap home screen for exclusive deals and new merchants coming to Zap! This is where you can browse by promotion, category, or find where to shop for your favourite brands.
