Mercury App 4+

What happened?

This app used to be so good and I earned heaps of rewards points by completing all challenges. Now I have no opportunity to earn points and the app is the web browser pages. When I check to see if I am still signed up for rewards I am rerouted to the dashboard. Wrote to find out what was going on and no reply in over a week. I had a bad experience with Trustpower and returned to Mercury. Looks like I’ll be looking for a new provider. Really disappointing

In the meantime, if you'd like to access app challenges, you can re-install our old app, Mercury Go, from the purchased section under your profile in the App Store.

App Usability

Hi there, I found the recent update quite uncomfortable to use. The previous version of an app was simple and easy to navigate, charts and challenges that are easy to access. I found the current design unresponsive and difficult to navigate. I can’t get access to the weekly reward challenges, the pages look like the web-browser versions, and when I click the links nothing is happening e.g. downloading power bill. Therefore I have to open a web browser and check there, so it causes the frustration of having a mobile app.

Is it a temporary version of the app? The version of app from 2-3 weeks ago was very good, comfortable to use, it was pretty and it was intuitive to use. Thank you

New app/ Sept 23

Why a new app and not an update of the old one, a lot of hassle that was not necessary!! I don’t like the rewards button as I prefer the earn one that takes me straight to new challenges. So it takes two more steps to get to the new challenges now, which is the only thing I use in this app. (And no I don’t want notifications). Using their massive profits gained on the back of their customers to create a new app that is worse than the previous one is appalling!
