Best Hotel Booking App!

I thought I already wrote a feedback here. Anyway, Agoda has always been my go-to when booking accommodation since 2016. Never had a single issue with them! The issue I have is user-error. Meaning, I mistakenly booked the wrong date and recently, I changed my booking dates for Taiwan. What I love about Agoda and the app, it shows you the total price. No hidden charges -with the correct setting set though. Also, it’s just the cheapest! I even attempted to check other booking apps/sites to see if there are anymore cheaper than them but no, there are none! At first I thought the prices are too good to be true specially the SALE ones but no, it’s real! Another thing that I love about Agoda is the option to “Pay Later” and “Pay at the Property”. Also, with the latest version of the app, I am so glad that you can now easily choose the option for “Twin Beds” or “Large Bed” because I always travel with a companion either friends or parent so I need to get that specifically. And in response, the hotels will send you a message to give you expectations about such request. They also options for other requests. The only down side is it takes too long and time consuming to contact their customer support but once you get a hold of them, you’ll get great customer service! That’s why I still give Agoda not just the app, but as a whole, a 5 star rating it deserved.

Customer service at finest!

Ever since we will go on vacation i always check first agoda for cheaper rates. And it always give me a good deal on room rates! :) and recently, i booked 2 hotel rooms. Apparently, we wont able to go on our staycation due to flooding. So i called the hotel for internal arrangement of rescheduling. But they dont do that since it was booked thru agoda, they told me to call agoda instead. So thats what i did. I called the agoda customer service, agent sir irish the first agent. Super bait and understanding. Naubusan pa nga ako ng load before we can talk pano gagawin, then he called me back. I was so relief! He offer me cancellation with refund since valid reasons ko. Kaso after call wala ko nareceived na email na marerefund ako, so i called again, this time si sir duane naman ang nakausap ko. He was able to send me email na marerefund ako. Thank you so much! Kaya i always use agoda, hassle free and good deal always. ❤️

Unresponsive and lousy service

I have been so dismayed with how Agoda operates. It has provided an option to pay bookings through over the counter transactions or through authorized convenience stores but do not honor the rates and deals offered and paid in the said channel. My recent experience was that after paying, I have not received the corresponding booking ID or reference of which shortly meant that the deal I paid was no longer available. After few hours, I received an auto generated email from Agoda informing me and confirming my earlier concern that the booking was no longer available and that my payment has already been made. They informed me that a separate email will be sent to me bearing the instructions or procedure on how can I get my refund. But up until now, I have not received any communication from Agoda. My payment was made through over the counter transaction from one authorized convenience store. Hence, no records of credit card or the like shall be utilized to provide my refund. The customer service facility of the app is even lousier and frustrating as you could not talk to a live agent. So, instances or other circumstance of concerns not included in their default options could not be resolve. I am opting to file a formal complaint to the corresponding government agency in order for such concerns to be address properly and immediately.
