Google Docs 4+

I’m so happy to use google docs for collaborating with my classmates. I hope that they can be able to add a feature in the version history where an editor last opened the google docs. It will be of help for us to check groupmates that hasn’t been much participative or active.

The top reason why I chose google docs instead of other word processors is because I can use it across my devices no matter which operating systems I use. The “automatic save” is a huge deal for me, but recently I’ve been having trouble syncing my file from my ipad to the browser version. When I tried opening my document on the browser, it keeps showing me an older version of the file despite many “refreshes” (note: gdocs doesn’t have forced sync). I can’t even download the updated version I have on my ipad to serve as a backup (it saves the older version instead!). I’ve had to copy-paste the whole thing on my notes app and lose all the formatting just to have a sense of security that I won’t lose months of hard work. Please fix.

All my important files are gone and i know for a fact i did not delete anything nor did i go to trash and delete it the second time around. I’ve tried everything, went incognito and opened my docs, tried the search bar as well. I’ve done my research everywhere and i found that in reddit just 1 year ago, a lot of people went through this and none of their files got recovered. So will i ever go back to Google docs? absolutely not. Huge regret that i had so much trust in this to even make sure to have a backup. I’ve been using this until 2022 and no issues has happened as similar as this, just when i need it the most.
