This is better MOBA for newbies too!
I downloaded the game just to give it a try, but I ended up getting hooked! The graphics are smooth, and I never felt it lagged on my phone, unlike MLBB, where my iPhone often struggles despite a good internet connection. While choosing a new free hero, I could watch sample videos on how to use them while on picking mode, which really helped me play effectively right away, even without practice. I’ve been playing MOBAs since 2017, but I find HoK much more impressive than MLBB, it offers settings, pacing, and matches that fit my play style. The graphics and achievable goals are inspiring. In MLBB, I feel like I need to make purchases just to get decent effects or a flashy avatar border, which is frustrating. In contrast, HoK makes me feel rewarded for completing missions even as a newbie. I also appreciate the positive voice effects that encourage the team and the friendly ways to address any issues without frustration. Overall, HoK has smoother graphics, and I love the culturally inspired costumes. As a fan of cdrama wuxia and xianxia, I enjoy the unique skins that make even starter heroes feel special. I highly recommend Honor of Kings!
The 1st in Mobile (NOT MLBB or WR)
I’m a League of Legends player since their release. So, it’s only befitting that I try WR and/or MLBB. However, that optimism went south real quick. I’m disappointed with each of the game’s gameplay system and their “Skins”, scheme. Both are far fetch from Honor of Kings, where everything is easily obtainable or attainable. Would you believe in less than a month, I almost have all of the heroes, and at least (1) skin for each. Both Freebies (which I must say is the most Generous), and the paid ones that I’ve bought with real currency (which is not much of a pain in the bank), line ‘em up with discount vouchers. I dunno ‘bout you, but I enjoy repetitive gameplay if I have at least skins with the heroes I’ll use. It amps up the thrill, as the game is also as generic as the rest of its kind, BUT, at least I have a skin for every heroes I have. Keep up the good work. I’ve already spent a lot in this game, and is currently part of the Level 5 spender in game.
My ML account is probably gathering digital cobwebs
So, I downloaded Honor of Kings on a whim one day, thinking I’d just give it a quick try. Spoiler alert: I haven’t logged into Mobile Legends since. That’s right, ML is now gathering digital dust while I indulge in my new addiction.
First off, the pacing in Honor of Kings is smoother than butter on a hot pancake. Wild Rift? More like Wild Drift. HoK’s speed is perfectly calibrated, giving me just enough time to strategize without feeling like I’m running a MOBA marathon.
Now, let’s talk power balance. In ML, I was either a god or a minion; there was no in-between. But HoK? Every match feels like a well-tuned orchestra, where even my worst game doesn’t make me want to throw my phone across the room.
And matchmaking? Oh boy, HoK has it nailed. No more waiting eons for a match only to be paired with a team that seems to think "strategy" is a type of pasta. Here, it’s as if the matchmaking gods actually care about my mental health.
As a former Vainglory enthusiast, I was searching for the perfect replacement, and guess what? I found it! Honor of Kings has filled that MOBA-shaped hole in my heart with its addictive gameplay and balanced mechanics.
And here’s the cherry on top: toxic players get punished so severely, you’d think they insulted the game developer's grandmother. It’s a glorious sight to behold, knowing the trolls are being booted faster than I can say “GG.”
